Text for Release 6:

This version includes no new scenarios, but a lot of changes and bugfixes.

Civilopedia for units is completely new overworked. Now you can see
the detailed conditions for every unit and project. Worth a visit!

Earthmap: The movement of landunits and range of airunits were reduced
to make it more realistic. However the disadvantage is, that some promotions
now make no sense - e.g. double attack for units with only 1 movement, like
infantry, field guns or howitzers.

We added the possibility for seasons on Earth map and Euro 1940 map.
This means wintertime between October and March on the Nothern part
of these maps. Winter affects production and movement, sea movement
is influenced by ice tiles on the sea. Unfortunately you have to reload your
game to see the graphical change to winter- there is no other way. Therefore we made winter time
optional.

Each major nation except Greece has two special treats now.

Germany - Blitz promotion applies to German tanks. Material production is doubled in German cities
Italy - All sea units get the supply promotion & all land units get desert fox promotion
Japan - Infantry never retreat & wounded units fight with full strength
UK - Defense promotion & all sea units get + 1 movement
France - Partisans & French colonies become normal cities in wartime
USSR - Recruiting is doubled in Soviet cities & all land units get winter equipment promotion
USA - Map factory production is doubled & oil production is doubled in wartime
China - Less experience promotion & infantry costs are halved for building and reinforcement

The economy was overworked and allows more wargaming now.

Several bugfixes solved - however the "carrier/plane-bug" remains unsolved.

AA-Guns reintegrated in the game, cause they are to important in the early war.

Added missing icons to the game.

RED WWII has released its first new scenario in literally years. Fight as Great Britain, the United States, or the Empire of Japan in an epic clash over the Pacific Ocean.

Summary: This is the first step in a naval overhaul to the mod and has added a number of new ships to Italy, the UK,
Germany, Italy, and the United States navies.

List of new ships
- Condottieri Class cruiser (Italy)
A regular type crusier that is the same strenght cruiser as all others. Unfortunately it does have a unique
model.

- Benson Class destroyer (USA)
An older version of the Fletcher class destroyer, the Benson has replaced the Fletcher class destroyer.
It has the same strength as a standard destroyer BUT has +1 sight to make it more useful as a scout.
This makes it ideal for convoy escort.

- Z-23 Class destroyer (Germany)
A class of destroyer than the original Z-class, armed with larger caliber weapons than usually found on destroyers.
It is significantly stronger than the regular destroyer type BUT has less movement points and less sight. It
finds itself ideal for main fleet movements but less suited to convoy protection.

- Pesnnsylvania Class dreadnought (USA)
An old dreadnought type ship that has replaced the starting battleships and cruisers in the maps with America in it.
Mostly in place for historical accuracy.

- U-boat Type XXIII class submarine (Germany)
- A more powerful version of the U-boat. Fairly self explanatory.

- U-class submarine (British)
A more powerful submarine for the British.

- I-400 class submarine (Japanese)
A more powerful submarine for the Japanese, but fairly limited in number.

Changes to current ships:

- Fletcher class destroyer was made powerful, and is equal to the Z-23 as discussed as above.
- Z-class was given similar stats to the Benson class as mentioned above.
- Littorio class Italian battleship was redifined as a capital ship to make the Italian fleet more powerful.

Other:
- Earth 1936 and NAE 1936 scenarios were labeled as stable.
- The UK and French were made weaker and the infantry convoys were changed to only start when the war starts.
This will make them less powerful overall and prevent unit spam.

This is a simple patch, that should fix the issue with missing projects and opeartions in all the maps. Please let mek now if this hasn't been fixed.

New Map!
World 1936 is now available in addition to the existing NA-Europe and Europe maps. Play as China, Japan, and the USA in addition to the
usual countries!

Game Options:
"Alternate History" is now working properly on both maps.
Note: Playing Germany leads to an oil deficit from turn 0 onwards, because there Germany has no allies or friends left to provide oil in alternate history.

Additional Mods:
The Faster aircraft mod is now implemented directly into the core mod and has been removed from the allowed mod list.
Added the "national anthems" mod to the game. The former R.E.D. version is no longer allowed for this Mod.

Traits:
The British trait was too strong, because it was always active in "friendly terrain", even terrain just captured.
So I changed this to an overall + 15% Defend bonus.
The Italian trait was too weak, so now there are no costs for Italian naval units.

Units:
AA-Guns are no longer buildable for major nations except China and minor states.
Submarines and Destroyers are now single ships with historical correct names.

Promotions:
Included 3 new promotions "Airdefense I - III" with code and Icons.
AD I: 1 more Interception per turn
AD II: 1 more Interception per turn
AD III: Can intercept on adjacent tiles
(These 3 promotions are available for Mobile AA-Guns and AA-Guns)

New Operations:
Avalanche (Invasion of Italy) and Overlord (D-Day) for USA
Uranus (Battle of Stalingrad) for the USSR.
Fall of Denmark is now also triggered, if Aalborg is attacked (The AI sometimes ignores Copenhagen...)

Civilopedia:
Added Operations, Japanese and Greek units.

Buildings:
Changed the benefit of hospitals to a maximum of 75 Soldiers healed each turn.

Flair:
We have made individual soundtracks (peace/war) for Germany and USSR. You can download them directly over the
following links. Treat them as normal Mods. The music appears only, if you play this nation. If we get a positive feedback,
we make also soundtracks for the other playable nations.

Unsolved Problems:
We have had several game crashes with the carrier unit. The problem remains unsolved, cause there is no
error message for this. We assume a "hard coded" issue... However, we have decided to deactivate carriers
in this update, maybe we can offer a solution in the next update.

Tank destroyer changes:
Overall:
can attack, but must be set up before attacking.
-50% vs. cities.
Changed the generic Light tank destroyer to ranged combat value 55 (from 65).

They should be used as defensive units against tanks (e.g. combined with infantry in open areas) and for attacking tanks.
They are stronger vs tanks and quicker as artillery, but weak against gun-units and cities.

Map Changes:

NAEurope-Map:

Removed some minor cities in Turkey, Portugal, Spain, Algeria, Canada, Austria, Slowakia.
I let in some minor coastal cities, because they can be important for healing ships. E.g.
the swedish and spanish cities for Germany.

Improved the oilressource of the USA.

Removed Republican Spain as a nation, removed all spanish troops.

Scenario changes:

NAEurope is now starting 1939 January, the 1st.

Adding Carriers:

Joffre for France
Zeppelin for Germany
Arc Royal for UK
Aquila for Italy

Raised project and unit costs for all carriers. As they were never build in real, it is limited to 1 ship for each nation
mentioned. The depending projects are available before June 1940 with a 10% probability.

Adding naval planes:

Breguet 810 for France (available after finishing Project Joffre) as light navy bomber
Messerschmitt Bf-109-T (available after finishing Project Zeppelin) as navy fighter
Junckers 87-T (available after finishing Project Zeppelin) as light navy bomber

These units can embark on carriers.

Fall of France is now working properly on the NAEurope map.

Changed the diplomacy outcome for Fall of France on the Europe1940 map.
After Fall of France, Morocco, Algiers and Tunisia stay as french allies, Syria and Lebanon make peace
with the Axis and declare war on UK/France.
Now it is possible to trigger operation "Torch" even with scripted events, which was not possible before
in this combination.

Removed the bug in Fall of Denmark on the NAEurope map, which flips UK plots back to Denmark after
one turn.

Removed the bug preventing Operation Torch from working properly on NAEurope

Added Operation Husky (Invasion of Sicily) to both Europe 1939 and NAEurope 1939.
