Version 1.3.3 - Update for By Blood Alone/Avalanche, update, content streamlining and new decisions (1.12.* Avalanche compatible)

Content

  • Updated for the newest HoI IV version (1.12.* By Blood Alone/Avalanche compatible.) Airframe categories for tech reductions in focus trees being one such example, as well as adapting some Hungarian focuses for the new states added (including in some NE-added focuses and decisions.)

  • Removed now redundant fixes and improvements to Italy by removing both ai_focuses/ITA.txt and national_focus/italy.txt from the mod's common-folder.

  • Added six new land reintegration focuses to Austria (three for integrating states, and three for fully incorporating new states), that target the new states added. Updated the old ones. Added some new unique functionality to the decision for the important port of Triest/Trieste.

  • Added two new land reintegration decisions to Hungary (one each for integration/full incorporation) targeting Northern Transylvania.



Localisation
  • New localisation for the new decisions added, and updates to older decisions due to states being split into new states.

  • Renamed the "Popular speech reception" event title to "Warm speech reception" which seemed more fitting.

  • Standardized the capitalization of the "Fully incorporate x"-decisions.



Balance and fixes
  • Added the new airframe categories to technology cost reductions in focuses like mentioned above.

  • Updated focuses' state targets both in regards to new states and to update some older code.

  • Some light focus-filter and ai-modifier updates to the generic focus tree in line with the new update.

  • Generic ideas and Yugoslavian ideas updated with new stuff from the Avalanche update.

  • Nationalism Extended's unique ideas now target the new equipment categories for artillery and anti-tank equipment properly.

Version 1.3.2a - Small decision hotfix imported from MNM (1.11.* Barbarossa compatible)

Balance and fixes

  • Fixed the Counteract Foreign Political Influences decision to properly check for the Communist Pressure idea rather than the Communist Influence idea when removing this. Weird check and effect combinations from this decision should now have been fixed.

Version 1.3.2 - Update for No Step Back/Barbarossa, fixes and small improvements (1.11.* Barbarossa compatible)

Content

  • Updated for the newest HoI IV version (1.11.* Barbarossa/No Step Back compatible.) This includes such things as the proper new cost reduction system for doctrines in focus trees, the character system, AI considerations with the Soviet Union's actions and other things Paradox has added since this mod last was updated.

  • Fixed the random outcomes for the traditionalist/non-aligned political rally by creating new events to draw from. Outcome chances now also visible when hovering the mouse over the starter event option.

  • The Polish focus tree is no longer edited by this mod as Paradox improved on the old one.



Localisation
  • New localisation for the traditionalist/non-aligned political rally events.



Balance and fixes
  • Clean up for the descriptor file and the thumbnail image. Finally got the new redesigned thumbnail image to show up as of this version. It's also been changed to a .png-file.

  • Added additional naval doctrine reduction costs in the Large Navy generic focus and the Restoration and Reform Hungarian focuses.

  • Fixed the MNM decisions' AI considerations to take into account the new focuses in the Polish focus tree.

Version 1.3.1 - Battle for the Bosporus/Collie update, with some content (1.10.* Collie compatible)

Features

  • Updated all relevant files for the newest Battle for the Bosporus DLC and the 1.10.* Collie patch, though the Yugoslavian focus file was deleted, as the current base game/DoD one is good enough on its own now.

  • Added new state reintegration decisions for Macedonia and Bulgaria, updated old ones. Also added a new decision category for Macedonia.

  • Added new state flags to control full reintegrations with the same effects for multiple countries (e.g. Macedonia and Bulgaria which have effect overlap).

  • Updated Hungary, Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria and Turkey with new, unlockable state cores/claims in the generic focus tree.



Localisation
  • New localisation for the added decisions and decision category. Also new names used in renaming certain states.



Balance and fixes
  • Revised which states certain claims and cores are given for due to new state additions by Paradox.

Version 1.3.0a - Bonus Content update (1.9.* Husky compatible)

Features

  • Added 12 new Austrian decisions, also available for Hungary having gone the Reform the Austro-Hungarian Empire path.

  • Added 6 new Hungarian decisions and a category for them, also available for Austria with the global flag for having Reformed the Austro-Hungarian Empire by decision.



Localisation
  • Localisation for all new decisions and the new decision category, and also added historical state and city/VP renaming to half of all the added decisions.



Balance and fixes
  • Added a total of 60 more army experience to three focuses of the Hungarian focus tree since they were a bit starved for army experience.

Version 1.3.0 - New features and update for La Résistance/Husky (1.9.* Husky compatible)

Features

  • Added Georgian land reintegration decisions and a category, with optional followup decisions to rename stuff. This includes full localisation names and historical flavor text. Also made the unlockable core on Erzurum possible to get by focus as well.

  • Added an additional Austrian land reintegration decision (with a little extra flair compared to the usual), and enabled Hungary doing the restoration of A-H access to this and all formerly added Austrian decisions.

  • The Bulgarian decision to fully incorporate Trakiya (Thrace) now also renames the new VP/city.

  • Updated for 1.9.0 through 1.9.1 and beyond, and caught up on all the features between now and the last NE update. Now the focus search functions are enabled for all modded focuses, as well as all relevant added NE focuses. Adapted these filters for buffs added by NE too.



Localisation
  • New localisation for Georgia and their new decisions.



Balance and fixes
  • Updated the MNM-decisions file with respect to the new and renamed French focuses.

  • Poland now also unlocks building slots when they do their naval buildup focus.

Version 1.2.4 - Version 1.8.0/1.8.1 Compatibility, Integration of new Paradox stuff, QoL focus improvements, Italian and Austro-Hungarian features (1.8.* Fork compatible)

Features

  • Added news event for Austria-Hungary moving their capital to Vienna, with localisation, picture and full functionality.

  • Added the possibility for Italy to reintegrate and fully incorporate Savoia if they can get it from France, in two separate decisions. France has two decisions doing the opposite in case they could make a comeback after Italy takes it from them. Functions like the Finnish/Soviet decisions for the border states in Karelia. Full and tested functionality, localisation and description (for the new Italian Land Reintegration decision category) has been added.

  • Updated for 1.8.0/1.8.1, and caught up on all the features between now and the last NE update. Added descriptor.mod file to the mod folder.



Localisation
  • Added localisation for the new event, decision category and decisions.

  • Updated the mod's description by purging some old information that was no longer necessary, and improved the Q&A section with a new and more relevant question.



Balance and fixes
  • Updated the Canadian, the generic, the Italian, the Hungarian and the Yugoslav focus files with new stuff Paradox has added since last time I updated the mod, including a few upgrades to cores added even before then that I missed in the Hungarian focus tree. In addition to the new things Paradox added such as ideas becoming timed ideas, more aluminium gained and infrastructure for new states, I've also added some further quality of life upgrades such as better AI strategies from focuses (AI Bulgaria and Austria-Hungary being more willing to ally/befriend/protect each other with the relevant focuses taken for Hungary).

  • Added all the new stuff and improvements Paradox added to the generic idea file some time ago. Now the decision related stuff is there, and the generic company/theorists give the new bonuses adapted to the newer research speed based system (instead of the old research time based system).

Version 1.2.3a - Very hot hotfix update to fix broken/unoptimal generic/NE idea pictures (1.6.* MtG compatible)

Features and fixes

  • Updated generic idea pictures/icons which weren't properly applied last NE update, and also improved further on the choices to make it look better than ever before (both "Waking the Tiger" icons and "Man the Guns" icons have been added). Also improved icon choice for one of NE's added ideas/national spirits, "Leadership Initiatives" which now utilize one of the nice "Waking the Tiger" icons.

Version 1.2.3 - MtG update, new features and streamlining (1.6.* MtG compatible)

Features

  • Updated mod for MtG, ensuring Paradox' changes and improvements to the game files made it to NE's edited files. This includes all 50% research time reduction bonuses becoming 100% research speed, and all 75% reductions becoming 300% research speed increase. And as importantly, dynamic alliance finding.

  • Somewhat nerfed air and naval doctrine research bonuses in the generic focus tree to account for doctrines having a higher base cost now. It's still just a tad more generous than vanilla's generic focus tree, though.

  • Field hospital bonuses from the motorized infantry focus in the generic tree reduced to only one now, as it was too strong for a 35 day focus.

  • Improved core giving focuses (in the generic focus tree) for Greece a bit, with new starting situation with claim instead of core on Constantinople/Istanbul. Now removes claim and adds core on said state if the focuses are taken.

  • Simplified the script for the Habsburg path in the Hungarian focus tree, regarding the Bulgarian alignment focuses. They're now more readable.

  • Also conformed most core giving focuses in the Hungarian focus tree to one standard, except for the Reformation of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, which can deservedly stand out a bit.

  • Less doctrine research bonuses in the Hungarian focus tree, but slightly more generous armor research bonuses.

  • Very generous initial naval doctrine bonuses in the Hungarian focuses to let you catch up as Hungary if you can get a coast. "Restoration" super boosts your "Fleet in Being" doctrine for a short while, while "Reform" gives one more research bonus for your choice of the other two Naval doctrines, but not at the same speed, inferring that refreshing old knowledge is faster initially.

  • Hungary aligning with the Soviets can remove their claims on some of Hungary's would be core states. Also, in some cases where you have claims, the claims are removed when you get cores on them. Similar functionality has been added for overlapping claims between Germany and Italy in the Italian focus tree (Slovenia).

  • Improved wargoal generation for both the Hungarian and Italian focus trees. Now they will give you "Take Claimed State" wargoals or similar in many cases, if you have claims.

  • The Polish focus tree has also been updated for MtG, and now also gives one additional armor research bonus compared to the last version of Nationalism Extended.

  • Added additional claim on Memel and Ermland-Masuren for Poland if they take the focus "Go Left". If they take the focus "Go Right" they now additionally gain a claim on Zhytomyr.

  • Added Canadian land integration decision category and one decision (for Alaska), with localisation. "Land Integration" decisions as opposed to "Land Reintegration" decisions apply when states have not been held previously, but can still be justified to be integrated with cores. The only difference, apart from two letters, is the fact that "Land Integration" decisions additionally gives a temporary malus to stability while ongoing, in "Meddle No More!" style. The end results are the same.

  • Added additional land integration decisions for Lithuania, while updating the old one to accurately target Vilnius/Wilno.

  • Somewhat changed generic idea/national spirit pictures.

  • Added updated "Meddle No More!" decision file.



Localisation
  • Added localisation for new features.

  • Fixed a few previous mistakes/oversights in the localisation.

  • Also added field hospital technology bonus reference to the generic focus tree and the localisation file, enabling future compatibility with mod translations.



Balance and fixes
  • Fix to the Irish land reintegration decision to rename Northern Ireland. It now sets the correct state flag to the state after this has been done (so the decision does not show up if it's already been renamed).

  • Modified the traditionalist path in the generic tree a bit. The latter focuses now have better availability checks and slightly improved AI priorities.

  • Renamed NE's opinion modifiers file to my new standards. Should have no gameplay impact whatsoever.



Other
  • Updated the recommended mod collection slightly before MtG and the current NE version hit, with a new graphics mod now recommeded.

  • Slightly improved the mod description with regards to the current mod features.

Version 1.2.2 - Feature patch, adds more coring decisions with categories and flavor texts (1.5.* WtT compatible)

Features

  • Added new coring decisions for Iceland, Norway, Denmark, Ireland, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Greece and Ethiopia, with individual country decision categories, and relevant flavor texts attached to these. Several of these include multiple states to integrate should you control them.

  • Ireland and Greece also get special decisions to rename these states to their own language after they've gained cores on them.

  • Added decisions and decision category with flavor text for Hungary owning and controlling Vienna to move their capital there, which is sure to give your Austria-Hungary playthroughs that extra little flavor should you want it.



Balance and fixes
  • Updated the integration of "Meddle No More!" to the newest version, which should make the AI do less weird stuff overall. In short they'll work with their ideologies more now, and especially if they have gone down the relevant path on their focus tree.

  • Removed the edited vanilla Soviet event file to make this mod completely compatible with Soviet focus mods out there.
