Update: Oct 13, 2024 @ 2:23am

Version 1.1
*Feature Complete*

  • Added aircraft in the form of attack helicopters that will both circle and strafe their targets.
  • The code has been further optimised and refactored along with new combat states thanks to the very talented Haiwei/Professor Sins.
  • Redesigned several vehicles to prevent exploits and improve a couple of their firing arcs.

Update: Oct 7, 2024 @ 4:58pm

  • A couple of minor tweaks to the Orca attack submarine to give it a slightly higher top speed and make it less likely that torpedoes get stuck while exiting the launch tubes when the sub is turning or during rough seas.

Update: Oct 3, 2024 @ 3:12pm

  • Added a hotfix so that player owned ships that are too big for the workbench and need to be spawned in as a mission are also targeted by the Bungeling Raiders.
  • Added an HP modifier for those looking for an extra challenge.

Update: Oct 2, 2024 @ 7:23pm

  • A minor tweak to the Fire Control MC's on all the vessels so that the gunner isn't able to keep firing when they no longer have a radar lock, this should stop them from trying to shoot through icebergs and other nearby terrain.
  • Changed it so that the Orca attack submarine's periscope only goes up for about 15 seconds every minute or so, this should make them harder to spot on radar and for guided missiles to hit them though the sea all the time.

Update: Oct 2, 2024 @ 12:58am

  • The Orca-class Bungeling Attack Submarine has been added to the ship roster, be aware that this is quite a powerful adversary that uses both guided missiles and torpedoes - that while still incredibly nerfed, are extremely dangerous as they can't be spoofed by noisemakers. The option to toggle submarines on and off can be found in the start menu.
  • Further excellent improvements and optimisations by Haiwei/Professor Sins to the original code.

Update: Sep 30, 2024 @ 9:28am

  • Added the second iteration of the AI gunner improvements, now they have a rudimentary IFF capability so not only will they try to avoid shooting at their own vessels, they'll also try to avoid locking onto them with their fire control radar.
In a nutshell it means that there's no more chaff being wasted by Bungeling Raiders locking onto each other.... 98% of the time at least.

Update: Sep 28, 2024 @ 5:06pm

  • Added the first iteration of the gunner A.I. that focuses on the player and neutral vessels first and ignores other Bungeling raiders unless they get in their way. Be advised that starting a new game will be required.
  • A performance boost and some reward code refactoring using Zizo's suggested improvements.

Update: Sep 22, 2024 @ 2:18am

Got two reports that ships weren't exploding when damage was exceeding their correct HP levels. Was not able to replicate this in testing and all ships that were attacked were sinking and/or exploding as intended.

I've re-uploaded the addon to the steam workshop again just in case the previous file was corrupted.

Update: Sep 19, 2024 @ 11:07am

  • Added an option to the start menu to include/exclude vessels based on size, as well as those that are armed with missiles.
This will make things slightly easier for players that wish to play with older style creations (such as World War 2 era ships and aircraft) and creations that don't have chaff or CIWS.
  • Added a guns only variant of the Mako and named it the Mako - Patrol Corvette, as well as a Pike Gunboat variant.
  • Added the Daggertooth Patrol Speedboat to help balance things out.

Update: Sep 13, 2024 @ 9:19am

  • Added a slightly improved version of the AI respawn code.
