Update: Nov 19, 2014 @ 12:29pm

This update addresses multiple topics.

*Added an additional 3 miles of track to the east of South Attleboro station. This extension takes you through Hebronville Interlocking and into the very beginning of the 150MPH section of Massachusetts. The reason for this extension is so Amtrak consists have a place well outside of Providence to begin (approximately 10 miles outside Providence Station).

*Added additional track west of Westerly Station. The reason for this minor extension is so Amtrak consists that normally pass Westerly Station can simulate this as they travel through Rhode Island.

*Added two new Quick Drive starting points. Called "End of Line (Northbound)" and "End of Line (Southbound)", these starting points allow you to begin your journey just outside Rhode Island. Give them a try!

*Added appropriate advance interlocking and interlocking signals for Hebronville Interlocking.

*Fixed a couple signalling issues. Many thanks to jweaver for the bug reports!

*KNOWN ISSUE: The advance interlocking signal for Hebronville Interlocking (just past RI-MASS State Line) will always show a "Stop" aspect. To bypass this, press TAB as you approach it. I will be fixing this soon!

Update: Nov 19, 2014 @ 3:02am

This is a bugfix.

*Resolved a signalling issue. Many thanks to "jweaver" for reporting the issue.

Update: Nov 18, 2014 @ 4:09am

This is a scenery and signal update.

*Added additional scenery to the freeway area outside of Providence Station.

*Added additional scenery to Apponaug just before Packard Interlocking.

*Added the girder bridge between TF Green Station and Cranston Interlocking.

*Added a couple extra signals that were missed.

Update: Nov 10, 2014 @ 2:43pm

This is a scenery update.

*Added the highways, on-ramps, and off-ramps to the area outside Providence Station (heading west). The freeways have traffic and many of the support pylons are up. This is just the beginning of the scenery that will be outside Providence Station. To see the progress for yourself, do a Quick Drive out of Providence.

Update: Nov 9, 2014 @ 2:55pm

This is a scenery update.

*Added much more detail to Providence Station and the surrounding area. The underground portion of the station now has nice occlusion and lighting effects. In order to see the proper effects, please have Dynamic Lighting enabled in your graphics settings.

*Began designing T.F. Green Station and the surrounding area.

*Began designing Narragansett Bay and Apponaug Cove.

Update: Nov 4, 2014 @ 9:54am

*Started designing Providence Station. I have yet to make a roof for it because I am still researching viable methods to do it.

*Extended Quick Drive service to South Attleboro, Massachusetts. Since diesel commuter rail only stops here, you must use a consist with a diesel locomotive in order to use this station in Quick Play.

I will be adding all the signals and speed limit signs between Providence and South Attleboro in the next update. Until then, enjoy the extension!

Update: Nov 2, 2014 @ 6:05pm

*Added T.F. Green Airport as part of commuter rail from Wickford Junction to Providence.

*Added Quick Drives from Providence to Wickford Juction via T.F. Green Airport and vice-versa.

*Added more signals and sidings.

Update: Oct 31, 2014 @ 6:16pm

*Added many signals, interlockings, and track speed limits. Many are still missing and will be added after the weekend (I will be busy this weekend).

*Added track from Providence, RI to South Attleboro, MA. There is no Quick Drive available into South Attleboro, but it is coming.

*Added a preliminary platform to T.F. Greene Station. Quick Drives will arrive here soon (you'll be using a diesel consist).

*Added various freight rail and yards to Cranston.

*Smoothed out the curves from Cranston to Providence. This should allow for much smoother turning at high speeds with the Acela Express and Northeast Regional. I am still experimenting with smooth implementation of curve superelevation.

I am releasing this update so you can mess around with some of the interlockings and signalling and to try out the ride into Massachusetts.

I am also opening the door to anyone who wishes to collaborate with me on this project. Think about it!

Enjoy and see you after the weekend with some more stuff!!!

Update: Oct 29, 2014 @ 6:35pm

*Added mainline track from East Greenwich to Providence. The route now extends 44 miles from Providence Station to Westerly Station.

*Implemented Quick Drive support from Providence to Westerly and vice-versa.

*Added accurate Train Type "A" speeds as the primary track speed and Train Type "B" speeds as the secondary track speed. In real life, the Acela Express is a Type "A" since it tilts and the Northeast Regional is a Type "B" since it does not tilt. However for the purposes of this route, both the Acela Express and Northeast Regional are treated as Type "A" trains since they are both passenger trains. I currently do not know a way to force specific trains to follow different sets of speed limits...so this will have to do for now.

Update: Oct 29, 2014 @ 7:11am

*Cleaned up the track between West Kingston and Westerly. It should now be a much smoother ride.
*Added preliminary scenery to Westerly. The station, Pawcatuck River Bridge, Pawcatuck River, and some cars were added to create some realism while people test the route.
