9/27/24 version 4.4 adds the statue graphic for giant cave beetles which i forgot. also took this opportunity to make them and also various creatures be trainable for war and hunting purposes (if tamed)

9/26/24 version 4.3 adds giant cave beetles & giant cave snails. it also includes various tweaks such as removing the ability for giant purring maggots to emit bursts of milk vapor (though they can still spit globs), and gives all ents immunity to the recently added fungal infections.

9/22/24 version 4.2 adds giant cave fish, glowfish, giant glowfish, gold fish (note: distinct from goldfish), and cave piranhas

9/20/24 version 4.1 is a small patch to essentially just remove intelligence from all ents. they are still described as intelligent in their descriptions and i feel that they canonically remain so, they just no longer technically have the associated tags in their raws because it was causing a long list of oddities. im pretty sure a lot of problems have just been solved.

9/18/24 version 4.0 adds giant floor fungus spores, giant cave moss spores, giant underlichen spores, floor fungus thralls, cave moss thralls, and underlichen thralls. giant spores drift through their own respective cavern layers emitting clouds of dangerous material that the local wildlife is immune to. in contact with surface creatures it will turn them into fungal thralls of their own type. fungal thralls can more or less continue their life as normal however, and if they were citizen workers of yours prior they will remain so after (fungal thralls have full equipment graphics and everything). needs testing.

9/16/24 version 3.9 adds scepter graphics for all the creatures that received equipment art in the previous patch. this version also includes various changes to the rock crabs in order to address longstanding feedback surrounding them: they are now less common, they produce fewer offspring when they breed, and they all have a child state now + child graphics (this applies to gabbro crabs, amethyst crabs, clay crabs, and coal crabs)

7/10/24 version 3.7 likely (hopefully) fixes once and for all the bug in which elven traders who used ents as pack animals were unable to correctly haul items. this was caused by a vanilla bug and a workaround was found by Putnam

7/9/24 version 3.6 removes the baby-state from all grazing animals of the mod, since it unfortunately turns out that babies can apparently not graze and they have all been dying as a result. this version is also incompatible with all previous versions, which will likely be the norm going forward in order to prevent any weirdness with save compatibility.
