Update for Reforged Eden 2 Alpha: (Alpha)


Project Eden 2 Alpha:
As of now the starting planets of Akua, Omicron, and Roggery, and the planets/moons/sectors in the starting systems are ready for survival testing.
The other starting planets are not yet setup for RE2.
Also the habitable, cold, and hot orbits throughout the galaxy are updated for RE2. Random planets and moons outside the starting systems have not been updated yet.
Please feel free to test out survival game play through getting a CV and leaving the starting system and leave any feedback or issues you encounter!


Misc:
  • Fixed incorrect coordinates on Object 82 mission.
  • Updated hot orbits.
  • Updated orbits for starting systems.
  • Removed Old Pandora and Old Sienna starting planets.
  • Added aluminium to Akua, Omicron, and Roggery starting moons.
  • Added rocks and carbon to crash site on Akua.
  • Updated asteroid fields in starting systems.
  • Updated trade station sectors in starting systems.
  • Increased quantities of optronics and robotics that advanced factories buy.
  • Project Eden POI shield generators now get salvaged as Broken Shield Generators instead of converting into the player version.

Playfield level normalization:
Playfield levels for all playfields are being normalized for a more consistent experience.
This is because the only thing that playfield level changes is the health and damage of NPCs and the strength of base attacks and space defense reinforcements.
Because playfield level has no effect on the blocks or weapons of a POI or patrol vessel or on any loot, it never made sense to attack high level POIs as it would just make the foot combat harder with no extra reward.
Previously, the level of a playfield was based on its location relative to the center of the faction territory it was in, or set to level 1 if outside of a faction territory. Some playfields, such as plasma planets or certain starting planets, were also given an override to set them to a specific level.
This would scale NPC health and damage from 100% to 250%, a huge variance for no additional loot.
After this change, almost all playfields are now set to a random level between 1 and 3, resulting in NPC health and damage scaling between 100% and about 133%.
Most starting planets and playfields in the starting systems are set to level 1.
There may be some set higher in the future, such as faction homeworlds.


Reforged Galaxy 2 Alpha:
  • Added Disabled Shield Generators (Dome and OPV variants) that are obtained when salvaging a POI's shield generator.
  • Added Plasma Shield Generator (Dome) for player bases made from disabled shield generators.
  • Fixed bugs with main story missions.
  • Increased the damage of the Combat Knife and Plasma Sword, as well as updated their attack animation.
  • Adjusted drop rates of ammunition and some components.

  • Skeletons found on terrain can be harvested for 6-10 Bones.
  • Added Biobox to Abandoned Bunker, Mine and Reactor.
  • Updated Abandoned POI group.
  • Built new Abandoned Drone Base using a modern (but obsolete) drone base instead of that antique from 6+ years ago.
  • Built new Abandoned Landing Pad for the starter planets.
  • Pointlessly reduced blast damage of Antennae from 100 to 10.
  • Crewmembers can no longer be dragged around.
  • Fixed inconsistency between group and block limits for sentry guns. Limit is now 24.
  • New models for Combat Knife, T1 Assault Rifle, T1 Pistol, T2 Pistol, T3 Pistol, T4 Pistol and T2 SMG.
  • Fixed story bug where the player would skip talking to Officer Pavrell in Plausible Deniability.
  • Fixed incorrect ammo name in Medium Plasma Cannon's description.
  • Localized Card and Drug Dealer NPCs.
  • Reduced RoF of T1 and T2 Assault Rifle slightly. Increased damage to compensate.
  • Increased magazine size of T2 Pistol (No longer a revolver), reduced damage to compensate.
  • Increased RoF of T1 and T2 SMGs slightly. Reduced damage to compensate.

At this point Akua, Omicron, and Roggery and their moons and orbits are set up as starting planets with the new decoration system and the new Reforged Galaxy 2 missions.
Habitable and Cold orbits are setup and ready for testing.
Please leave any feedback on the missions, biomes, and difficulty on these three starting planets, or on the random habitable and cold orbits.


Misc:
  • Updated market pricing for PE CV ship ammo.
  • Removed Swarm Launcher and Thermal Lance for now until they can be properly added later.
  • Removed more old playfields.
  • Doubled Omicron's atmospheric O2 percentage to improve efficiency of water condensers.
  • Updated POI spawns for cold orbits.
  • Updated starting items for creative start on Akua.
  • Added shuttle blocks to PE space factories.
  • Skeletons on planets now drop bones when harvested.
  • Added new test for the Ancient Warp Gate. To test, use console command sector 'Andromeda to Decay Warp Gate' and then approach the warp gate in a ship.
    Once you get near, a waypoint will appear in the middle of the warp gate. Simply fly straight through the warp gate and hit your warp ship button as you are flying through it to warp to the other side (you'll have 3 seconds to warp once you fly through the gate).
    Requires an advanced warp drive and a full tank of refined pentaxid. Please do not test anything else about the ancient warp gate except for this new warp feature as nothing else about it is setup yet and it's only one way right now.

Reforged Galaxy 2 Alpha:
  • Fixed Talon Chief giving the wrong time for the UCH Fleet.
  • Increased the trigger range for zirax attack in the ancient tower so the mission triggers first before the player enters sensor range.
  • Reduced HP of stone spires and other oversized rocks to prevent indestructibility.
  • Pilot Crewmember (Functional pilot) will now (hopefully) be able to speak to the player. If it works without any bugs, this function will extend to other crewmembers.
  • New barking dialogs for mechanoids/androids based on their function.
  • Platinum Credits now accepted by ATM.
  • New Kamirat-Class Heavy Carrier added to game.
  • Update for all other OPVs that had their Plasma and Antimatter thrusters deleted when their groupname was changed in the last update.
  • Trauma Station can be made in the HV/SV Constructor.
  • Shuttle Blocks added for eden compatibility.
  • Changed variable for satellite hacking from dbplayerpoi_int to dbplayerpoipos_int
  • Fixed bomber spawn during Offworld Grave mission.
  • SV Warp Drive now consumes 25% less pentaxid per AU.

Just did an update to add a shuttle test block for planet bases: Eden_ShuttleDockPlanet
This will call down a decorative shuttle from orbit to land on the platform for a short time, then take off again.
Note: please do not use these test shuttle blocks in blueprints as they will be renamed once they are properly added.

Misc:
  • Removed Tesch faction territory from galactic map. Tesch are no longer found in RE2.
  • Removed vanilla faction homeworld systems and planets from the scenario until they can be remade for RE2.
  • Added a collapsed wormhole to Akua, Omicron, and Roggery orbits.
  • Added test blocks as a proof of concept to spawn decorative shuttles for potential use on POIs and player space stations. Eden_ShuttleDockOutgoing, Eden_ShuttleDockOutgoing2, Eden_ShuttleDockOutgoing3, Eden_ShuttleDockIncoming, Eden_ShuttleDockIncoming2, Eden_ShuttleDockIncoming3.
    These use the effect projector base for placement. Turning them off in the control panel makes the base visible to remove them.
    These are just for testing, please do not save blueprints using these blocks yet but feel free to add them to space stations in creative and give feedback.
    These are found at the end of the block config file.

Updates to Habitable orbits:
The Habitable Orbits found throughout the galaxy have been updated. To find, go to habitable stars and warp to any non-gas giant planet. Habitable stars include G, F, and A class star systems.
  • Updated Zirax POIs and patrol vessel spawns with new RG2 spawn groups.
  • Added Polaris and Trade Federation Supercolonies to their respective faction territories.
  • Removed some old vanilla and PE POI and patrol vessel spawns.

Misc:
  • Added weapon attachment info for PE weapons.
  • Removed several old star systems in the sectors file.
  • Removed many old vanilla prefabs from the scenario files.
  • Began work on updating the Habitable space orbit POI setup. WIP.
  • Updated default gameoptions file for medium enemy difficulty. I am not sure if "Medium" is actually the correct setting or not, so this may not work properly. If it doesn't then we won't find out for awhile sadly. I am going off of what is in the game's official example files.

Updates to Roggery:
  • Update to new deco system.
  • Added new biomes and updated creature spawning.
  • Added RG2 story mission POIs.
  • Added new escape pod POI for randomized player start.

Updates to Omicron:
  • Increased size of eggplants in crashsite. Added rare eggplants to Sand biome.
  • Adjusted Oasis to be less dense.

Reforged Galaxy 2 Alpha:
  • Increased the speed that melee weapons can be swung.
  • Slight increase in melee weapon's reach.
  • Story mission PDA and Dialog fixes.
  • Other dialog NPCs no longer turn when talked to.
  • Adjusted loot table for normal cargo containers to fix overabundance of lategame resources being dropped.
  • Fixed an issue where Advanced Armors were being dropped in closets, wardrobes and lockers instead of Improved Armors.
  • Reduced range of Polaris Laser Rifle by 10 meters to shut up the warning about NPCs using it.
  • Increased Magazine size for T1 and T2 SMGs from 25 to 30 rounds and 30 to 40 rounds.
  • Reduced SMG recoil slightly.
  • Updated the Heidelberg, Radar Station and Crashed Titan to improve behavior during story missions.
  • Updated starter planet drone base with less lights.
  • Small increase to starter zirax troop damage and HP since they dropped to a single shot from a regular pistol.
  • Updated several item icons.
  • Updated story timeline. Time difference between the Fleet's arrival in Andromeda and the player's arrival reduced from 10 years to 4 years.
  • Changed projectile model of SV, CV and BA laser beams since the laser turrets' projectiles were clipping out the back of the turret when fired.
  • Updated colliders on R2 Weapon Models to improve behavior and fix issues where the gun would target itself occasionally.
  • Zirax, Legacy and Polaris patrol vessels are now separated into their own tier-based groups for spawning.

  • Removed Tallodar as a starting planet for now.
  • Set crashed story ship on starter moon to Civilian.

Updates to Omicron:
Omicron is now updated and ready for testing as a starting planet.

I do plan to add an actual desert starting planet later on, as Omicron is supposed to be an arid planet, not solely a full desert planet.
  • Added RG2 story and starter POIs to Omicron.

Project Eden 2 Alpha:
  • Configured POI versions of cruise launchers and raider beam lasers for RG2.
  • Added salvaged versions of some POI turrets for salvaging resources.

Updates to Akua:
  • Removed Haven as a starting planet for now.
  • Polaris completed their negotiations with the Trade Federation for ownership of the trade station.
  • Sent someone to trim down the oversized flowers.
  • Moved starting ore deposits further away from the starting area.
  • Story POIs are now Civilian faction so the spawners work.
  • Fixed small wrecks not appearing near the crash site.
  • Added localization for Redwood Forest biome.
  • Misc biome updates.

Reforged Galaxy 2 Alpha:
  • Increased the HP of Ramps, Shutter Doors and Boarding Ramps.
  • Reduced HP of stone and ores so they're easier to mine by hand.
  • Cargo Extensions can be upgraded to Quantum Cargo Extensions.
  • Fixed issue where seated NPCs would turn around when talked to.
  • Quantum Cargo Extensions can be downgraded into regular Cargo Extensions.
  • Updated PDA with current Empyriopedia entries regarding the current medical conditions and treatments in R2 and faction information.
  • Removed obsolete entries in the PDA.
  • Updated Donation Page in the PDA with current donation links for both Vermillion and Ravien.
  • Fixes to the story dialogs and PDA to fix some of the current issues.
  • Updated Kenex Station, Starter Trade Station, Ancient Tower and Heidelberg to fix story issues.
  • Added new Zirax Starter POI prefabs.
