Noticed in a thread one player landed on the same planet as I did Deltalan III a large rainforest planet but said conditions were different like radiation, ores and surface rocks. So do the same named planets load randomly as well ?

Yes there will be an update probably after the weekend to fix a couple of the jump gates that aren't working right. That fix will only apply to a new save game unfortunately.

Loving the random starting system, I got a Barren Metal first try where I was in range of a Zirax POI. Second try was a an Irradiated planet in the Wastelands.

Any chance there are Wastelander POIs yet?

There used to be a partially destroyed building by the first spaceport you are directed to, after the Hilderburg. Has that been removed as well as the HV and SV? TIA !

Hi, I am going to be starting a new game soon to access the new stuff.

I wanted to ask if there will be a new update anytime very soon that would require to me to restart a new game to access the any new content?

Bugfix updates i assume will happen but hopefully no new major content push that requires a savefile restart in another two weeks or a little more?

I always recommend new players play vanilla first. RE2 expects people to already know the game's fundamentals so we don't include any kind of tutorial.

So I just read most of what this mod does, and i've just bought the game yesterday, played a few hours already.

After looking at this mod, is there ever a reason to play the base game lol?

This removes all the vanilla POIs and missions etc, replacing with its own. I am assuming because the replacements are just better (no offence to the devs but the vanilla is a bit , bare , and the enemies are unresponsive statues)

Will I ever be able to bring myself to stomach the vanilla after being spoiled rotten by this awesome looking mod lol? Or should i try and do some base game before trying this?

Like going back to £2 steak after eating £1000 steak lol.

RE2 has it's own set of icons where necessary to prevent problems happening when the vanilla game updates. There have been updates in the past on RE1 which caused problems, so when RE2 started development, it was written from the ground up to try and avoid those issues as much as possible. That includes using their own assets where they can.

Please see the change notes to see what was added in the last scenario update.
RE2 already overhauls the star systems, resources, and has completely new missions so whatever happens in the base game with those wouldn't affect the scenario.

This may have been answered, But Does this remove, or prevent any of the Content that would be in the 1.13 Base game? Like the new system overhauls, and Resource overhauls, Story line ECT. ?

Yeah sorry it's hard to incorporate translations when the scenario is still changing so much. And it's not even as simple as just copy and pasting an extra file in as the way the csv files work we also have to verify that all the other languages in the translated file are still up to date and weren't accidentally corrupted during the editing.

It's not really something that's feasible to do at the moment.

Translations for a scenario are a massive undertaking. Even if you translate the language file, there are about 300 other files that still will have to be edited for a full translation. I recently detailed the scope of this in the thread here somewhere...

With that in mind, and the current development process of RE2, I wouldn't expect to see a translation to any languages as its just too much for R&V to handle at this point in time, or ever to be honest.

Hi Ravien_FF and Vermilion,

First off, thank you for all the hard work on Reforged Eden 2—it’s an incredible mod! However, when it comes to building ships, the current CPU limits (especially with only 4 quantum cores) feel too restrictive. Shields, turrets, generators, constructors—basically everything requires CPU, and it makes it hard to build functional ships.

Yes they have.... The person posting was asking about quantum cores, and progenitor tech to make them. Until it was pointed out that they are not in RE2 at this time! Then it transpired it was a scenario based on RE2 he was playing!!!!!

The only cores that can currently be built are ; The basic standard core, Small & Large Auxiliary Cores, Small & Large Advanced Cores, Salvage Core.

Quantum cores are not in any of the constructors at the moment. Only way to obtain them is through the Item Menu. Therefore you don't need any Progenitor Tech. Beside, the Decay cluster has been removed for the time being as people kept accessing it and then wondering why there was nothing there!!

Just finished an engagement with a Sunat. Normally a few volleys from my plasma cannon can drop Sunat shields but not this time. It was ticking down maybe 1% or so. I have drive thrusters and normally can catch these ships quite easily but again not this time. It seemed to translate x,y,z enough to stay ahead with ease. I was ready to come here and whine about the 1.13 RE2 upgrade breaking game mechanics when I recalled that when the Sunat came into resolution, there was a game exception that I quickly ignored. I logged out and back in again and behavior returned to normal. Sunat eliminated and lesson learned. Whether the exception was cause or coincidental did not matter. If something doesn't seem right, just log off and try again. The authors have done everything in their power to insure balanced game mechanics and even Eleon has done so. It's not always a game bug.

I ended up in a satellite galaxy after a random start. Can I get to the normal part of the galaxy from there with the technologies I have?

Yes you could disable the extra stars by editing the scenario's GalaxyConfig.ecf file:
StarCount: "50000, 52000" change this to 30000, 32000
For StarRegion_185 and 186 change the TotalSpawnCount for both to 0.
Save the file, then start your new save game. Now that save game will not have the extra background stars.

Of course you do this at your own risk.

About the extra stars. It certainly might be a fabulous experience/idea for the majority, i do belive that and i respect that. The people that i know, they don't seem to be excited about it. You might not be able to understand why this is upsetting me and others, but it is really a deal breaker for us. I do not and certainly won't demand or ask to change it nor would you comply to that either, i simply expressed my opinion about it. I do would like to know if we could disable or remove it ourselves as this is probably just a clientsided thing.
And yes believe it or not, how ridiculous it might sound to you....it is that important.
Other then that, i do enjoy Reforded Eden and it is a great project.

Ich habe Reforged Eden 2 auf meinen Server geladen, das Spiel gestartet,. Die Ladezeit dauert ewig habe 32 GB DDR 5 und eine 3060 12GB. Als ich dann loslegen konnte wollte ich halt paar Ressourcen von den Wracks grinden wie immer, sie werden zwar auf der Map angezeigt aber wenn ich ankomme ist da nichts.

Yeah I get that means now you can't warp to literally every single star you see but I'd imagine for the vast majority of people they weren't out there counting stars but they will appreciate the more realistic looking background even if they don't consciously notice it.

If you think it's dumb that's certainly fine but it's a subjective opinion.

question about shared mods - The super shotgun states that it shares the weapon mods with the assault shotgun, but despite having a fully modded assault SG, none of the mod slots are showing as filled on the super SG. Do they still have a shared mods, or were they separated and the description needs to be updated?

pmsl as hes stated you cannot see them its not making a difference to you warping to every star you see , but adding them in various locations around the map for visual effects is a fab idea , think your on your own with that thought Winnetrie

If it's not showing Build 32 on the loading screen and player inventory, then you didn't do the update properly.
