Starlight River v0.2.0: The Power Of Friendship is now live!
This is a major update, adding early multiplayer support, a bunch of Summoner content, a new Swarmer class of enemies that are small and feeble alone but prefer to attack in large groups, and a bunch of other fixes and improvements.

Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where some accessories would fail to function in the Master Mode slot
- Fixed Sandscript failing to spawn as a Desert Artifact
- Fixed Cursed Accessories not drawing their backgrounds correctly when equipped
- Fixed various outdated tooltips
- Fixed Ceiros' drop pool not including shattered aegis on expert mode
- Fixed Glass Arrowhead not functioning or having a tooltip
- Fixed Moonshards spawning too close to the edge of the world

Content:
- New material: Vengeful Spirit
- Dropped by ghosts, some recipes have been updated to use Vengeful Spirits instead of Living Blood
- New tool: Enchanted Watering Can
- Spawns in underground chests, use it on a normal sapling to grow it into a big tree
- New Item: Large Acorn
- Sold by dryad, allows you to grow big trees
- New sentry: Arms Dealer's Defense System
- Purchased from the Arms Dealer that conjures different kinds of mounted turrets to fight for you
- New summon: Haunted Dagger Staff
- Crafted with Vengeful Spirits that summons haunted daggers to embed in your enemies, violently ripping themselves out when struck with a whip or retargeted
- New whip: Echochain Whip
- Crafted with Vengeful Spirits that forms Echochains between struck enemies to mirror summon damage taken between them, conjuring countless chains to tie down enemies when holding RMB
- New summon: Starwood Scepter
- Crafted by throwing a Dormant Scepter in Starwater, summoning two halves of a star to tag team enemies and merge into one whole when empowered with Starwood's set bonus
- New summon: Man Eater Staff
- Crafted with Jungle materials that sprouts Mini Man Eaters from a pot on your head, dropping extra life hearts on kill but consuming part of their healing to enter their rage state
- New sentry: Heart Statue?
- Crafted by throwing a Heart Statue in Starwater, summoning a living statue to siphon life from enemies and occasionally spawn life hearts
- New accessory: Artillery License
- Sold by the Arms Dealer, grants +1 sentry slot
- New accessory: Manabond
- Found in certain Stone Temples, grants minions their own mana bar that refills from your own, allowing them to cast magic bolts at foes
- New accessory: Infernal Manabond
- Replaces your minions magic bolts with a more expensive but powerful firebolt
- New accessory: Shocking Manabond
- Replaces your minions magic bolts with a slower firing lightning attack that sunders armor
- New accessory: Druidic Manabond
- Replaces your minions magic bolts with a very expensive thorn shotgun that inflicts poison
- New accessory: Aquatic Manabond
- Replaces your minions magic bolts with a fast firing and cheap waterbolt that can bounce
- New accessory: Salt Cogs
- Crafted from Sea Salt, doubles the fire rate of sentries for 2 seconds after their summoning
- New accessory: Watch Battery
- Crafted with a Charged Magnet, makes sentries shock nearby enemies when summoned, inflicting Overcharged
- New accessory: Seaglass Lens
- Crafted with a Seaglass Ring, allows minions and sentries to occasionally deal extra damage which counts as a critical strike
- New accessory: Exotic Timepiece
- Crafted with Salt Cogs, Watch Battery, and Seaglass Lens, combines their effects and grants +100% sentry placement speed
- New accessory: Haunted Amethyst
- Crafted with Amethyst at a Demon Altar, grants +1 summon slot when below half health, auto-summoning its occupant when the conditions are met
- New accessory: Stone of the Drowned
- Crafted with Aqua Sapphire and Haunted Amethyst, granting +2 summon slots when you have no barrier, auto-summoning its occupants when the conditions are met
- New armor: Slime Prince armor
- Dropped by King Slime, summons a Slime Prince that can envelop your body for 10s, granting invulnerability and new attacks
- New enemy: Gloom Slime
- Spawns during nighttime in shallow caves, a swarmer that latches onto you and blinds your vision
- New enemy: Soul Nibbler
- Spawns during nighttime in the Corruption, a swarmer that tries to lunge at you with 6-10 of its other kin
- New enemy: Loot Wraith
- Spawns occasionally protecting chests, dropping Vengeful Spirit

Multiplayer Compatibility:
- Fixed Alican, Auroracle and Glassweaver causing softlocks in multiplayer
- Fixed Ceiros' Master Mode behavior desyncing in multiplayer
- Fixed Construct Spawners, Shrines, dashable barriers, Gear Alignment puzzle, Light Maze puzzle, Artifacts, and cooking in multiplayer
- Fixed Tentalance, Haunted Warbanner, Crystal Slime, Starwood armor & weapons, Jade Stopwatch, Martial books, Laser Pointers, Forest Berry bushes, and most gores in multiplayer
- Improved barrier network performance, far fewer packets sent
- Generally just added multiplayer compatability, it's not perfect so make sure to make a GitHub issue report if you encounter anything odd

Balancing:
- Starlight regeneration has recieved a large overhaul
- Each point of starlight regeneration now grants 0.05 Starlight per second
- Base starlight regeneration is now 5 (0.25 per second)
- Starlight regeneration penalty from movement significantly reduced
- Starlight regeneration cooldown after using an ability significantly reduced
- Many pieces of equipment with Starlight regeneration have been updated to reflect new values
- Barrier base values have been buffed
- Base resistance 40%/30% (expert+/normal) ➜ 50% (always)
- Base recharge delay 8s ➜ 5s
- Base recharge rate 4 ➜ 6
- Tentalance damage increased (16 ➜ 18 DMG)
- Tentalance now has 50% damage falloff per target pierced
- Ancient Lens critical strike chance decreased (3% ➜ 2%), critical strike damage increased (10% ➜ 15%)
- Truestrike Lens critical strike chance decreased (4% ➜ 2%), critical strike damage increased (10% ➜ 20%)
- Soilgun damage reduced (16 ➜ 4)
- Earthduster damage reduced (25 ➜ 6)
- Soilgun/Earthduster crimsand nerfed (healing chance 33% ➜ 20%) (healing flat 2 + 10% damage ➜ 1)
- Auroracle's water will now deal a small amount of damage when you fall in to alert you of the danger
- Slightly decreased damage of Auroracle's wavy ink attack in phase 1
- Reduced the spawn rate of display cases

Misc:
- Armillary Trial now requires you to have defeated each boss atleast once to unlock
- Armillary Trial will now save your scores across sessions
- Updated Armillary Trial damage resistance calculations to discourage strategies related to stalling
- Updated Armillary Trial GUI
- Added quick hotkeys to Prep Station and Chef Bag
- Empty Prep Station slots now say which type of ingredient goes there
- Alican's cutscene camera more accurately predicts his fall

Starlight River 0.1.8: LukewarmFix3 is live!
Another small patch.

Fixes:
- Fixed Armillary Trial's adaptive damage reduction not applying to damage-over-time effects
- Fixed an issue where the jade stopwatch had strange interactions with held/charged items
- Tuned some Metal Detector values to better reflect the rarity of modded tiles
- Made meteors and moonstones avoid destroying Touchstone structures
- Fixed the Bloodbolter deleting bosses before they can drop loot
- Fixed accessories not taking effect when swapping loadouts
- Fixed overlays appearing where they shouldn't in boss rush
- Fixed a number of issues with Vitric Temple puzzles

Balancing:
- Adjusted the damage various boss and enemies deal. In general enemies should be less scary and bosses more scary
- Adjusted the Armillary Trial's adaptive DPS targets (~33% higher, should make it a little less bullet spongey)
- Reworked Defiled Ankh (Remove all debuffs while barrier is active ➜ Grants 100% inoculation and immunity to most debuffs while barrier is active)
- Increased Seaglass Ring's granted barrier (+10 Barrier ➜ +30 Barrier) and recharge delay reduction (-0.5s Barrier recharge delay ➜ -1s Barrier recharge delay)
- Increased Aqua Sapphire's granted barrier (+10 Barrier ➜ +20 Barrier) and barrier effectiveness (+5% Barrier Effectiveness ➜ +15% Barrier Effectiveness)
- Significantly increased Rune of Warding's granted barrier (+20 Barrier ➜ +50 Barrier)
- Reduced Tentalance damage (20 DMG ➜ 16 DMG)

Version 0.1.7 is live.
This patch is a small hotfix to address some minor issues, along with the Auroracle spawning bug, before we begin working on much more complicated fixes and actual new content.

Fixes:
- Fixed Auroracle not spawning
- Fixed the blocks under loot chests and Touchstones being mineable
- Made Greenhouse Glass actually work on most vanilla plants
- Made meteors avoid Touchstones
- Fixed Earthduster recipe

Content:
- Added recipe for Ignition Gauntlets (10 Hellstone Bars, 8 Ancient Ceramic, 2 Magmatic Cores)
- Unleash a rapid flurry of punches, slowly gaining Ignition Charge as you deal damage
- Hold RMB to consume Ignition Charge, launching yourself at your cursor at escape velocity and dealing damage to anything in the way
- LMB while flying to vent remaining Ignition Charge, creating a large explosion wherever you aim

Balancing:
* Corpseflower tick rate increased
* Slightly increased Impact SMG damage (4 ➜ 8 DMG), significantly increased Impact SMG's buff stacking (5% ➜ 10% more DMG per stack), greatly increased throw velocity, tripled explosion damage / explosion damage's buff scaling, and significantly reduced fire rate when overheated

Sundries:
- Added new sound effects for Gunstrap Boots, Sandscript, and Octogun
- Made many sound effects much quieter
- Made Perfectly Generic Object actually more generic as the previous update in fact made it less generic

This is a quick hotfix to address a few minor bugs.

Fixes:
- Fixed missing NPC slot values for bosses, this should prevent non-boss spawns during boss fights
- Fixed various bugs with the Mantis Technique duplicating projectiles
- Fixed being able to switch weapons while swinging Radcula's Rapier
- Fixed some misaligned gears in the vitric temple puzzle generation
- Fixed puzzles in the vitric temple solving prematurely
- Fixed some underground dashables not having drops
- Fixed bloodless amulet having incorrect description
- Fixed Glassweaver being able to undergo mitosis
- Fixed the color of some underground dashables
- Fixed Pyroclastic Flow igniting immortal entities

- Made several sounds less ear-destruction-ey loud and updated a few others (Octogun and Recursive Focus in particular)

Balancing:
- *Significantly* reduced Impact SMG damage (10 ➜ 7), attack speed (-20%), damage multiplier (1.2x ➜ 0.8x), and replaced the recipe's Iron Bars with Hellstone Bars
- Increased Skullbuster damage (45 ➜ 47 DMG) and bomb damage (45 ➜ 60)
- Increased Twisted Greatsword damage (28 ➜ 31 DMG) and critical strike chance chance (9% ➜ 10%)
- Decreased Book of Frost damage (1x ➜ 0.75x) and added 1s cooldown
- Increased Glassweaver HP (Final phase HP 1800/2000 ➜ 2300/2800)

Sundries:
- Beautified even more sprites and visuals (Sentinel Tincture, Forest Tonic, Starlight Potion, Sandscript, Cloudstrike, Monk Spade, Plexus Chalice, Starlight Gel, Old Whetstone, Aurora Cathedral platforms)

This patch is another hotfix to address the less-impactful bugs that were missed in the last update, along with more balancing tweaks and enabling of previously-WIP items.

Fixes:
- Fixed some accessories not properly being counted as Shoe Spikes
- Bombs can no longer break things they shouldn't be able to, again
- Hunter Potion no longer gives you wallhacks to see Artifacts
- Moonstone Hamaxe can no longer break temple walls
- Fixed an error with Nature's Gift artifact textures
- Fixed Large Trees hovering a pixel off the ground

Content:
- Added recipe for the Death Sax weapon (30 Ebon/Shadewood, 10 Demonite/Crimtane Bars, and 10 Living Blood at a Demon Altar)
- Dealing or taking damage with any other weapon slowly charges up the Death Sax and its primal roar, creating a large AoE of destruction on use
- Added recipe to the ULTRAPILLS accessory (15 Living Blood and 10 Demonite/Crimtane Bars at a Demon Altar)
- Dealing damage and killing enemies creates a shower of blood that heals you
- Cursed: You can not heal by any other means
- Added recipe for the Magebane accessory (Shimmer a Mana Flower)
- Dealing magic damage leeches mana from enemies
- Cursed: You can not use Mana Potions or any other recovery item
- Added recipe for the Cogwheel mount (15 Desert Fossils and 4 Ancient Gears at an anvil)
- A platform mount with a cog underneath it that can climb walls and deal damage to enemies at high enough speeds
- Added recipe for the Steamsaw melee weapon (Bladesaw and 6 Ancient Gears at an avil)
- Shreds enemies in melee with a circular saw that builds up pressure, released when letting go of M1 to launch the blade at high velocity
- Added recipe for the Jetwelder summon weapon (5 Ancient Ceramic and 6 Ancient Gears at an anvil)
- Fires a superheated jet flame that deals summon tag damage and creates Scrap from slain enemies, which can be consumed to construct temporary steampunk robots
- Added a recipe for the Rebar Launcher ranged weapon (12 Hellstone Bars and 6 Ancient Gears at an anvil)
- Launches high velocity rebar into enemies at range, embedding in their flesh. With good aim, this rebar can then be struck again by more rebar to drive it deeper into the enemy

QoL:
- Merchant and Skeleton Merchant now sell Flares if you have a Flare Breacher in your inventory
- Sparkling bullets can stack to 9999

Balancing:
- Corpseflower damage multiplier increased (33% ➜ 45%), but you can no longer proc oncrit effects on initial weapon hits
- Greatly increased Rune Staff's damage (8 ➜ 16 DMG)
- Rune Staff projectiles now home in on enemies

Sundries:

Version 0.1.3 is live.
This patch is another hotfix to address some more critical issues and the less-impactful bugs that were missed in the last update, along with some extra QoL and balancing tweaks.

Fixes:
- Fixed a critical issue that would cause the player save to be corrupted when logging out with cooked food, and restored any corrupted characters lost in this way
- Fixed a critical issue related to Starlight River NPCs like Alican mysteriously disappearing and causing a softlock
- Fixed a crash preventing servers from starting... this means you can at least launch servers, but again, as we've said many times, it's *really not stable* and *many things break* and you should *really just wait for us to finish official multiplayer support*
- Fixed Ceiros gaining an unintentionally high amount of defense in Phase 2
- Fixed Radcula's Rapier letting you clip through walls
- Fixed Auroracle's laser attack not allowing you to place blocks in the Armillary Trial
- Fixed the Aurora Curiosity buff gained by following Aurora Wisps actually halving your mining speed rather than doubling it
- Fixed Whirlwind Pickaxe not being affected by mining speed buffs/debuffs
- Fixed Gluttony spazzing out when you run out of mana
- Fixed a bug where the tentalance would replay it's charge animation very quickly
- Fixed a bug where hint text would dissappear near tiles

Content:
- Reworked the Rune Staff, now renamed to the Shine Staff, found in lootbox chests:
- Creates a star that shatters into a spread of small stars that home in on your cursor
- Holding M1 instead drains mana to preserve the star, pulsing its light faster and faster depending on how close you are to treasures and artifacts

QoL:
- Added Forbidden Winds indicator when hovering your mouse over Ankh Chests
- Added Natures Gift as a Jungle artifact, making Corpseflower and other items that use it less painful to obtain
- Added all other wood type armors to the recipe table for Starwood Armor
- Made the hitbox for getting hints from NPCs larger and added some default hints to many more things in the world
- Living Blood drop rate increased
- Adjusted some spawn rates of annoying flying enemies
- Added some default hints to various things in the world

Balancing:
- Greatly reduced Impact SMG's thrown attack damage (65 ➜ 28 DMG) and buff scaling on said attack (+10 ➜ +7 DMG per reload stack)
- Increased Moonfury base damage (25 ➜ 28 DMG) but nerfed its projectile damage (2x ➜ 1.5 DMG), cooldown (1.25s ➜ 1.6s), and Dreamfire buff functionality (DMG x [5 + armor / 5] ➜ +20 DMG & +20% Armor Penetration)
- Reduced Gunchucks fire rate by ~25% and reduced damage (16 ➜ 9 DMG)
- Buffed Starwood Boomerang damage (10 ➜ 15 DMG)
- Increased the Armillary Trial's DPS normalization targets

Sundries:

Version 0.1.2 is live.

Fixes:
- Fixed multiple critical issues with Alican and Glassweaver's dialogue. If you were unable to progress these dialogues, or the dialogue went offscreen, it should be fixed
- Fixed multiple visual bugs related to zoom and UI scale. This is relevant to the prior fix, but also affects issues with Barrier overlay manifesting as a strange blue ghost when not at 100% zoom, among other things
- Fixed several materials being unobtainable or inconsistent (Ancient Cogs can now be obtained by Extractinating things like silt and Exotic Geodes, Balloon in a Balloon is now obtainable with two balloons, Prep Station can be made with both iron variants now, Radculas Rapier is now obtainable on Crimson worlds, Desert Monoliths now actually regularly drop themselves, Mysterious Braziers and other furniture dropping two of themselves when broken, etc)
- Fixed LearnableRecipe on Sandscript making it not actually obtainable
- Fixed Auroracle not actually dropping all of the Technique Books (it dropped the axe and sword book, but not the spear book)
- Fixed a potential Ceiros phase softlock
- Fixed Underground Temple lootboxes not actually dropping some of their items
- Fixed Golden Guillotine popping every single enemy instantly
- Fixed issues with the Palenail's AI
- Fixed Facet & Lattice literally just not working
- Fixed many tiles that should not be explodeable being explodeable
- Fixed Barrier not drawing correctly on alternate UI layouts
- Fixed typos and capitalization issues

QoL:
- Added indicators when hovering your mouse over many things that were sources of confusion - Item Cases, Combat & Evasion Shrines, Aurora Touchstones, Crash Pods, Stamina Jars, etc. The fact that they are interactable and with what you might need to interact with them is now much clearer
- Added hints to Item Cases
- Added a mining speed buff when following an Aurora Wisp between Touchstones, to make the trip much less of an awful slog
- Made the Glass Idol more easily obtainable and allowed it to be crafted directly *at* the Temple Forge

Balancing:
- Halved fire rate of Double Cross and reduced damage (6 ➜ 4 DMG)
- Greatly reduced Point of Light's laser damage and slightly increased its melee damage (11 ➜ 15 melee DMG), (55 ➜ 30 laser DMG)
- Greatly reduced Recursive Focus' damage (14 ➜ 6 DMG)
- Greatly reduced Radcula's Rapier's damage (30 ➜ 12 DMG)
- Buffed Scrapshot's per-pellet damage (6 ➜ 9 DMG)
- Made Warbanner enemies twice as rare and a bit scarier (150 ➜ 200 HP)

Sundries:
- Beautified many sprites and visuals, like the Whirlwind Pickaxe, Prep Station, Ancient Lens, Truestrike Lens, Rune Staff, etc
- Added tooltips to Fossil artifacts, making it clear that they sell for a lot of money
