3.0 Update "Canomortus"

[High Level Summary]

Addition of autoexec lua for game-start data injection into pre-loaded game files. This removes incompatibility for mods that alter .biome and .mission files.

Addition of new lua for certain towers and weapons for more reliable player-affliated spawning.

Tech tree rework that further separate existing nodes and streamlining them.

Survival receives several tech unlocks to ease access to the mod's content.

Revised alien resistances.

Reduction of certain economic building rates as balance measure.

Addition of new damage type in conjunction of DLC2 theme of crystals.

Deletion of custom drone towers and changing their drones into mod slot items which can be slotted to dedicated drone tower.

Ammunition rework for towers; their ammo factories now produce ammo at different times respectively. The towers' ammo consumption had been modified to follow suit.

Ammunition rework for mech weapons; mech weapons now use their own respective ammo types, divesting from current one. Their ammo are co-produced by respective tower ammo factories.

2.3.1 Minor Hotfix Update

[Building Changes]

Reduced tower_turret_howitzer of both variants maximum range from 40 to 33. Aiming range from 50 to 35.

Reduced combat turret health spawned by tower_turret_howitzer of both variants from 200 to 150.

2.3.0 Cost and Balancing Update

This major update will require a new game save due to extensive changes.

[Logic Changes]

Added missing alien blueprint for attack_level_3_id_1_metallic_ultra.logic. This error contributed to crash in one of Metallic Valley Outpost regular timed attack waves in brutal and custom difficulty campaign.

[Building Changes]

Altered tower_plasma_mortar build cost from 100 carbonium/50 steel/25 palladium to 100 carbonium/100 steel/50 palladium. Tier 2 and 3 costs follow new scaling respectively.

Increased tower_sniper carbonium build cost from 100/200/400 to 200/400/800 carbonium.

Added STATISTICS tag to tower_plasma_mortar weapon stats.

Changed tower_acid_blaster to be constant firing similar to tower_plasma. Reduced ammo_spread from 3 to 1. Reduced projectile lifespan from 1.5 to 1.3. These changes is intended to exemplify Acid Towers constant damage theme.

Reduced tower_cryo_blaster projectile lifespan from 2 to 0.7.

Changed tower_gravity_blaster to be charge-up tower with 1.5 sec charge time, 2 sec firing time and 1 sec reload time. Fire rate set to 1 and burst rate set to 4. Added cluster property of 1. Added cluster lifetime property. Reduced damage splash from 1.1 to 0.5. Removed ammo_spread. This gives the gravity blaster tower a slight DPS edge over other blaster towers; DPS as per Weapons Editor is 104/208/416. Due to charge-up timers, they averages to typical 88/176/352 DPS.

Changed weapon type of tower_magma_blaster to use GrenadeAmmoComponent. Changed burst_per_fire from 5/6/7 to 3/4/5. Added fire_per_shot 3/3/3. Added burst_column_angle "30". Reduced damage_splash from 1.1 to 0.4. Removed ammo_spread as it is now redundant. These changes converts the tower as short ballistic arc tower.

Removed ammo_spread from tower_radio_blaster. Added burst_column_angle 10. Reduced burst_per_fire from 5 to 3. Increased shots_per_fire from 1 to 3. Reduced damage_splash from 1.1 to 0.5. Changed ammo_speed from 40->40 to 40->45. This changes the tower_radio_blaster to be more consistent on hitting small and, fast targets (affected by radiation speed boost) given the tower shoots more projectiles simultaneously.

Changed tower_magma_mortar burst_per_fire from 2/2/2 to 1/2/3. Changed ammo_speed from 20->20 to 26->30. tower_magma_mortar overall damage is redistributed to be from 100% to 50% for projectile impact, 100% to 50% for deployed mines. The deployed mines can now deal 200% damage for 2% chance. This in turn means the tower no longer use wrong doubled DPS.

Changed tower_magma_artillery ammo_speed from 25->25 to 25->29.

Increased tower_radio_blaster fire_rate from 0.5/0.6/0.7 to 0.6/0.65/0.7. Reduced projectile lifespan from 2 to 1.3. This change further exemplifies high rate of fire for Radio Towers.

Changed tower_radio_grenadier ammo_speed from 20->20 to 20->24.

Changed tower_plasma_mauler ammo_speed from 25->25 to 25->29.

Removed ammo_angle_speed from all tower cruise missile projectiles.

Added cluster lifetime properties to tower_cluster_cruise_missile. Reduced damage_splash from 5 to 2. Increased cluster from 1 to 2.

Increased ammo consumption of tower_plasma_laser_heavy from 6/8/10 to 7.5/10/12.5 as per new ammo consumption formula for charge-up towers. Considering timer involved, it averages to 6/8/10 ammo_tower_plasma_cells as per original ammo usage before the tower was revised into charge-up type.

Increased ammo consumption of tower_gravity_laser from 0.5/0.7/0.9 to 0.6/0.8/1.1 as per new ammo consumption formula for charge-up towers. Considering timer involved, it averages to 0.5/0.7/0.9 ammo_tower_gravity as per original ammo usage before the tower was revised into charge-up type.

tower_cryo_laser do not receive any ammo cost adjustment as its timers are balanced relative to each other.

Increased kinetic_shield_generator range from 16 to 18. Reduced shield health from 1600/3200/6400 to 1400/2800/5600. Reduced shield regeneration from 80/160/320 to 40/80/160.

Reduced radio_shield_generator shield health from 900/1800/3600 to 800/1600/3200. Revised shield regeneration from 45/90/180 to 50/70/90. Increased shield regeneration cooldown from 0 to 0.1.

Reduced ion_shield_generator range from 25/31.25/39.063 to 24/24/24. Reduced shield regeneration from 45/90/180 to 40/60/80.

Reduced gravity_shield_generator shield health from 1250/2500/5000 to 1200/2400/4800. Reduced range from 25/25/25 to 22/22/22. Reduced shield regeneration from 62.5/125/250 to 40/80/120. Increased shield regeneration cooldown from 4/5/5 to 5.5/5.5/5.5.

Upon discussion with Just_Carrier at EXOR official discord, Magma Processor resource chain had been significantly altered.

For Sludge Reactor, eliminated first level palladium requirement. Altered tier 1 build cost from 150 carbonium/200 steel/25 palladium to 350 carbonium/200 steel, tier 2 build cost from 300 carbonium/400 steel/40 palladium to 700 carbonium/400 steel/25 palladium, tier 3 build cost from 600 carbonium/800 steel/80 palladium to 1400 carbonium/800 steel/50 palladium. Altered mud usage from 15/15/15 to 10/15/20. Altered gas usage from 10/20/40 to 5/20/40. Reduced energy usage from 25/50/75 to 10/25/50. Reduced sludge production from 25/50/100 to 25/50/75. Added Survival-version Sludge Reactor that uses a different gas rate of 5/15/25 and mud usage of 10 for all tiers. Survival-version Sludge Reactor have halved cost.

For Magma Synthesizer, eliminated first level titanium requirement. Altered tier 1 build cost from 200 carbonium/250 steel/25 titanium to 200 carbonium/450 steel, tier 2 build cost from 400 carbonium/500 steel/50 titanium to 400 carbonium/900 steel/50 titanium, tier 3 build cost from 800 carbonium/1000 steel/400 titanium to 800 carbonium/1800 steel/100 titanium. Increased gas usage from 25/25/25 to 20/35/60. Increased carbonium/steel usage from 1/1/1 to 1/1.5/2 respectively. Reduced magma production from 25/50/100 to 25/50/75. Survival version use reduced gas rate of 12.5/25/50.

For Magma Processor, increased tier 1 build cost from 500 carbonium/500 steel/250 titanium to 800 carbonium/650 steel/250 titanium, tier 2 build cost from 1000 carbonium/1000 steel/500 titanium to 1600 carbonium/1300 steel/500 titanium, tier 3 build cost from 2000 carbonium/2000 steel/1000 titanium to 3200 carbonium/2600 steel/1000 titanium. Increased magma consumption from 100/100/100 to 100/125/150. Revised energy usage from 50/100/200 to 100/150/200.

Fixed wrong special fluid rates from morphium_powerplant_lvl_2 to 4; from 400 to 100.

[Mech Consumables Changes]

Removed damage_penetration from gravity_turret_item weapons. Reduced all damage_splash by 1 due to new cluster lifespan property. Altered cluster property to be 1 at all rarities. Increased ammo_speed from 50 to 60.

[Effects Changes]

Simplified EffectDesc of buildings added by the mod to use EffectsBaseBlueprint for lvl_2/3. This reduces the overall .ent files' sizes used by the mod and subsequently reduce some of the game loading times.

Added new particle effect for revised tower_radio_blaster.

Added new particle effect for revised tower_radio_blaster projectile impacts.

Changed gravity_blaster_hit to be a smaller version of singularity_warhead_fizzle.

2.2.6 Hotfix

[Building Changes]

Added collision_2d to tower_cluster_rockets so it can hit smaller targets better. Reduced burst_column_angle from 2 to 0. Reduced ammo_spread from 6 to 2. Increased cluster property from 0.4 to 1.5. Reduced projectile lifespan from 1.5 to 1. Added max cluster_lifetime of 0.15. Reduced damage_splash from 5 to 2. Reduced ammo_size from 0.8 to 0.65. Increased ammo_speed from 60 to 70. Standardised ammo cost for all tiers of tower_cluster_rockets to be 1 ammo_tower_explosives at all levels. These changes make tower_cluster_rockets more reliable against most targets. Due to its new cluster parameters, the tower will deal slightly more damage on clustered big targets but will struggle against smaller ones.

Fixed wrong minimum range for tower_plasma_laser_heavy_2/3 from 0 to 16.

2.2.4 Charge-up Towers Balancing

[Building Changes]

Revised tower_burstminigun to use ammo cost from 0.533/0.567/0.6 to 0.933/0.991/1.05 due to new average ammo cost per shot formula that takes into account of charge timers. The tower ammo consumption averages into 8/8.5/9 for its full firing cycle of 5.5 seconds.

Revised tower_artillery_burst to use fire rate from 2/2/2 to 1.5/2/2.5, projectile damage from 11.25/25/45 to 30/45/72 and ammo cost from 0.125/0.125/0.125 to 0.33/0.25/0.2. This gives tower_artillery_burst theoretical DPS of 45/90/180 versus tower_artillery with 22.5/45/90 DPS but it is constrained by charge-up timers. The tower ammo consumption averages into 1/1/1 for its full firing cycle of 6 seconds.

Revised tower_heavy_artillery_burst projectile damage from 200/266/400 to 300/400/600 and ammo cost from 2.5/1.67/1.25 to 3/2/1.5. This gives the burst heavy artillery variant theoretical DPS of 300/600/1200 versus tower_heavy_artillery DPS of 100/200/400 but it's constrained by charge-up timers. The tower ammo consumption averages into 10/10/10 for its full firing cycle of 12 seconds.

Fixed wrong att for tower_tesla_heavy_2/3.

Revised tower_mhd timers to be 2 sec Charge Time, 4 sec Attack Time, 2.5 sec Reload Time. This means its theoretical DPS is 28.125/56.25/112.5 versus tower_laser DPS of 25/50/100 but it's constrained by charge-up timers.

Revised tower_gravity_laser timers to be 1.5 sec Charge Time, 3 sec Attack Time, 2.5 sec Reload Time. This means its theoretical DPS is 29.17/59.33/117.67 versus tower_laser DPS of 25/50/100 but it's constrained by charge-up timers. At the same time, the tower does have 5 damage over time for 2 seconds. Added STATISTICS tag to damage_over_time.
