**Bug Fix**

- Terraformed "plain floodplains" to "desert floodplains" will now have yields
- Fixed an issue where CS could spawn next to a wonder (thanks @stulios for the report)

**Volcanoes**

The process for volcanoes generation is hidden in firaxis code ... except in**Classical ridges**.
I was able to make a few changes regarding the volcanoes.
Please note that the following changes only apply for **Classic Ridges**

- Volcanoes will now spawn on primordial map, though with the same proportion as any other map (with standard ridges, you get a lot more of them)
- Volcanoes will now spawn on highlands map

- Volcanoes will no longer spawn on coastal terrain. This will prevent naval civs to be "locked" or delayed on one side.

**Languages**

- Updated french text: thanks @ybanca
- Fixed a mistake regarding Victoria's lake description
- All non translated languages should now fallback to english. if you are willing to help translate, contact me !

** Help needed **

I have seen screenshot of two potentiel problems, but never got usable debug information:

1. Terraformed volcanoes. It is a situation where the volcano exists, but not under a mountain.
2. Spawn without fresh water. It should never happen, in that situation, I advise you to remap on technical bases.

New version of BBS: 2.2.0 !

Given the amount of changes, and despite deep testing, bugs might still be there.
If that happens:

1. Keep calm
2. Collect your lua.log file (**Location has changed**: C:\Users\[yourusername] \AppData\Local\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI)
3. Post it, along with an explanation, a screenshot or anything displaying the bug here: #bbs-bug-report

Please make sure that you have unsubed/resubed **Manually** (steam doesn't work, cannot anything about it ...)

Once the update is done, **ensure** that the mod is up to date in the "game content" menu of the game (not in lobby, it only displays host version).

**__Bug Fix__**

- Using the "Spawn Guaranteed" option for BBS, you will not encounter anymore weird strats placement (horse on hill, niter in forest, ...)
- Floodable tiles will not be terraformed anymore (no more hill/forest/… on floodplains)
- Volcanos will not be terraformed towards lakes anymore (thanks @ZhenjaMax#3594 for the report)
- Fixed an issue where CS placement error could lead to firaxis spawn
- Fixed an issue where the amount of Placement tries and Minimum Distance were not correctly displayed
- Fix an issue with Maori spawn (could lead to crash)
- Fix an issue where it was not possible to shoot over the Bioluminecent bay (thanks @Calcifer#1030 for report).
- Terraforming ocean to coast around Giant's Causeway and "BBS islands"


**__Translation__**

Languages files were created, so the BBG translating team was able to provide some translations for BBS, thanks to them !

**__Placement rework__**

A common complain for the previous version was "When I play <insert here a no bias civ>, I **ALWAYS** spawn coastal".

The BBS Wonders (actually, Terra Mirabilis Wonders) were re-balanced by the BBG Team, I have applied the changes.

Fix issue with strategic resources not being balanced at all (firaxis version) with standard setting

Bug Fix:

- It is now not possible anymore to spawn on small ( < 35 tiles) islands on Continent and Islands
- It is now not possible anymore to spawn ring 2 of the map edge on Tilted Axis or Inland Sea
- Fix resource counter, will allow compatibility with Resourceful 2 or other extended resources mods (thanks @Tarius)
- Krakatoa Wonder does not kill civilian units anymore

Changes:

- Spain gets its continent split bias back.
This was discussed with BBG Team. Should Spain be stronger, other adjustments will follow in next BBG Beta if needed

- The option "Spawn Guaranteed" for the strategic resources now works correctly:
You will get, at least:
Within the 3 first rings of your spawn:
- 1 Horse
- 1 Iron
Within the 5 first rings of your spawn:
- 1 Niter
- 1 Coal
- 1 Oil
- 1 Uranium
- 1 Aluminium

Exception:
No terraforming of tundra/snow/desert will be done.
This means that as Canada/Russia or Mali, you may end up without horses (just like with standard setting).

I do recommend that option for competitive play, as it will guarantee all players a minimal amount of strategics

- Floodplains rework:
The floodplains algorithm had flaws and was not working as intended: players could spawn in a land full of floodplains, while civs with these bias (Egypt and Sumeria) would spawn outside.

A comprehensive re-write was done.

Some tiles are now marked as "excluded" for non floodplain civs to avoid spawing in the middle of too many flood tiles.
Floodplains civs are now guaranteed to spawn on a floodplain tile.

Please note that with this restriction, loading might sometimes slightly increase.
Also note that the "terraformed floodplains" (adding an extra resource/terrain on it) will be reduced, but unfortunately will not disapear just yet.

New Features


- A new lobby setting will allow you to change the minimal distance between players:
**Min Tiles between Players**
It defaults to standard, which is what you have been using so far: BBS will calculate the Minimal distance between players according to the map, the map size and the amount of players

Please note that manually picking a setting might result in firaxis placement if too restrictive (minimal distance too high).
Also, note that this setting does not influence the "maximum distance" between players, even if set to 6, some players may end up freesim on their side of the map.
