1.83 - Designers Edition

-Carolean unit model improvements, featuring a wider fold of the coat and a sword. Credit once more to Kaffe!

-Added unit models for the rest of the Nordic countries. All imported from the (abandoned?) MI2 mod and some improved upon a bit. Also added some simple airplane textures for them (Yes Iceland, you too).
-Added new Swedish unit model - When you research weapons 3, the infantry models will now get helmet m/37 instead of m/21 and some minor uniform changes.

-Nerfed starting level of some generals. Should reflect a nation that hasn't been at war for over 100 years better...
-Added new starting generals - Erik Testrup, Ernst af Klecker, Harald Malmberg, Halvard Gustafsson (also new advisor), Henry Tottie, Helge Söderbom, Samuel Åkerhielm
-Removed starting generals: Carl E. Knös, Oskar Heden, Anders Erik Svahn. I simply couldn't justify keeping them as generals because of their historical low military ranks (or being dead 1936). Their portraits are now used in the generic division officer pool instead.
-Added some other new generic portraits for generic Swedish generals.
-Starting general Gustaf Petri is now gained through the focus "Hemvärnet" instead.
-Removed focus "Study the Bäckebo Rocket". Placed the rocketry research bonus directly in the event instead. Also lowered the bonus from 1x100% to 1x50%.
-Removed the pre-designed equipment decisions. Didn't like how they turned out.
-Added 1 starting military factory in Värmland.
-Some Swedish AI improvements

-Revamped the Company reorganization decisions. All companies now have at least 1 improvement. Some are quite strong.
-Added new starting companies - SCG (Skanska), LM Ericsson, AB Aerotransport, SILA
-Updated some designer company descriptions. Check them out for trivia!
-Changed some designer traits and bonus values.
-Increased the company expansion time from 90 to 120 days. (for reference, the Soviets still have 180 days)
-Added a notification event that pops up each time you complete a company expansion project. This can be turned on/off (default is on) by clicking on a decision in debug mode.
-Removed starting infantry equipment designer companies Zakrisdalverkan and Åkers Krutbruk. The decision to create infantry designer FFV still exists as usual though. They were honestly just redundant.
-Removed the wreth around the icons of some designer companies. Did this since they looked more like focus icons.
-Added some new icons for some national spirits and designers. Most are from Kaiserrech or RT56 but some are my own too. Many icons will change when you upgrade a company.

-Further improved the debug Big Red Shiny Fun Button event. (designer companies, name lists, tank and airplane models and equipment localisation added and AI improved). Ending event now also displays a very fancy ranking and casualities list. I must say, it's surprisingly fun as an alternative game mode. I've been able to successfully win with every starting nation. What do you guys think of it?

-Added a new option for nations pressured by you through the "promote ideology in x country" decisions in the NazBol and Marxist focus branches - If they are both coerced to change government and into your faction, they now have the option to become your subject as well. This is unlike the vanilla Soviet decisions, which these Swedish ones are based upon.
-Fixed a bug regarding the promote ideology decisions in Nordic countries for NazBol and Marxist routes - If you coerce a nation to join your faction, they won't immediately ditch you afterwards.
-Fixed a bug with the rebuild mineshaft decisions.
-Fixed some bugs with the CAS designer companies not properly working with the BBA dlc planes.
-Fixed some bugs with the automatic assignment of tank icons in the tank designer.
-Fixed some bugs with the Swedish modern tank model being huge.
-Fixed some bugs regarding the random assignment of traits in the focuses Winter War Gaming, Mine Warfare and in the civil war events.
-Fixed some bugs with unit animations around the new province of Lund.

1.82 - Carolean Edition

-Carolean unit models added for Sweden! Select it from the model list in the template designer for your infantry, artilllery, anti-tank, cavalry, motorized, mechanized or bicycle divisions and pretend it's the 1700s! Credit for the model goes to Steam user "Kaffe", who has also uploaded a stand-alone version of the model on Steam Workshop.

1 new flavour event - fires on completing the Future of Warfare focus.
1 new news event - If Sweden has been awarded the Åland Isles and occupied all of Norway, the Nobel Prize Ceremony will get a surprising twist...

-Added a failsafe event for the Karelian Gamble in case a country which is neither in Sweden's nor the USSR's faction takes control over the target areas (looking at you, Germany). This prevents an awkward situation where you can't do anything but to wait for the gamble to fail. This does not include the state of Leningrad though, as Germany can potentially reach it very fast and spoil everything. As such, the victory condition for the gamble is also slightly changed - you no longer need to control Leningrad, just ensure the USSR does NOT control it. In other words, it's okay if Germany reaches Leningrad before you, but not okay if they reach Petrozavodsk before you. This will of course be reflected in the peace that follows though.

-Added a couple of more victory points - Lund, Borås, Borlänge, Södertälje, Växsjö
-Adjusted the placement of some victory points within their provinces to better pin-point their actual locations.
-Fixed awkward placement of some airports and rocket sites in Swedish states that occured after the last DLC.

-Changed propaganda campaign "Field Christmas Present" to give weekly war support instead of a flat amount.
-Lowered time for focus 'The New Swedish Tiger' from 70 to 35 days.
-Switched some of the effects between the silence and vigilance propaganda campaigns.
-Gotland can now refuse re-annexation if historical focuses are turned off.
-Debug Decision "Big Red Shiny Fun Button" event improved immensely.
-Detonate / Rebuild Mineshaft decisions now cost 50pp instead of 100pp. Now requires 3 civ factories for 90 days to rebuild. AI should also be a bit more competent at using this decision.

-Small bug fixes and improvements.

-Company Merging decisions 'Modernize SAAB' and 'Modernize CVA' are now only available without the BBA DLC activated. This is due to the fact that BBA doesn't make a distinction between jet planes or normal planes anymore as separate categories.

-New decision category: Create Equipment Designs. With the more advanced ship, tank and airplane designers, Paradox has chosen to include some historical design templates in vanilla focuses (example: tanks in Germany's 'Treay with the USSR' focus). This is good, but they require you to already have researched the latest tank chassis, which is understandable since the created design requires that to be produced , but also kind of stupid since the point of the focus is to give you a research buff in that field. My solution to this problem is to simply put the designs in a decision category, which you can unlock later at any time once you've met the requirements (which you get a bonus for to unlock in the focus).

-Focus 'The Swedish 9' no longer gives you 3 free aces. It was a silly idea.

-Focus 'The Swedish 9' now gives a 1x research bonus for plane modules.

-Nerfed the Swedish 9 national spirit from +30% Naval Attack to +15%.

-Focus 'Swedish Forest Industry' now gives +1 civilian factory.

-Misc changes.

Epilogue:
Dissatisfied with my working pase at the modding gulag, the guards doubled my pervitin dosage, hoping for better results. Unfortunately for them, this gave me the supernatural strength to break free from my chains, beat up the guards, smash through the outer wall and jump over the 10m fence surrounding the area. I headed straight for the woods, hiding from their search parties for several days while living on a diet of old cardboard posters from the recent election. With the help of faeries, trolls, Finns and other mythological forest creatures, I finally managed to find my way home. I'm now at a new safehouse, able to finally upload the mod.

1.72 - Anniversary Update

-New cosmetic tag: Sweden-Denmark Union. Achieved through the 'Hold the Kalmar Conference' focus. Just like the Sweden-Norway cosmetic tag, it's basically a stepping stone before you form the Kalmar Union.

-New monarchist focus: Nordic solidarity. Gives civilian factories and helps with the civil war recovery.

-Focuses 'Jantelantvärn' and 'Decommunization Programs' now give +75 political power. Should help with the civil war recovery.

-Humanitarian Aid decisions pp cost lowered from 15 to 10. Decreased duration from 70 to 60 days.
-Eliminate Guerillas decisions pp cost lowered from 30 to 20. Decreased duration from 70 to 60 days.

-Added better effect descriptions for the conquer Denmark / Norway focuses.

-Focus 'Join Weserübung' no longer makes you automatically declare war on Norway and Denmark. You instead gain an Axis invitation and wargoals when Germany launches the invasion.

-Focus 'Fortify the Cities' is now bypassable if the civil war has already been won.

-Focus 'Fourth Defence Act' is now bypassed upon the start of the monarchist civil war. This will essentially spare you 70 days worth of focus time, which could be a huge deal when going down those paths.

-Small opinion modifier added for the event 'The King's Letter'.

-Swedish Empire map colour changed to the same shade of blue as the old flag (slightly darker).

-1 New debug cheat decision, adding fuel (previously included in the ikea decision)

-All inital disarmament production & build speed penalties lowered from -80% to -50%, mobilisation speed penalty from -25% to -10%. While I'm quite pleased with how the rearmament process turned out in my mod, needless to say it's a debuff with a magnitude that sticks out compared to any other debuff that exists in the vanilla game. I decided to make this change in order to make it more in line with other vanilla stuff. Arguably it still really sticks out after this change, but that's alright by me.

-Fixed a lot of airplane model sizes
-Fixed prefix 'HMS' to 'HM' from ship namelists.
-Fixed the weird spelling of 'Kryśsare' to 'Kryssare'.
-Fixed a couple of incorrect focus filters.

1.7 - NazBol Gang Update

It's a bit rough around the edges, but since the update was already postponed I figured it was best to just upload it. RT56 compatability addon will be released at a later date though. Soon™.

-Remade the Swedish aircraft technologies. Updated many names, icons, and added a lot of customized descriptions. This was made before the announcement of the new By Blood Alone DLC, which then made me realize that these descriptions will become obsolete pretty quickly lol.
-19 new aircraft models! They are, of course, not the actual aircrafts, but look-alikes found already in game with Swedish Airforce emblems slapped on top.

-New Scandinavian / Nordic focus tree branch
-New NazBol focus tree branch. To clarify, this it not the communist 'Kilbommarna' path, but rather the fascist 'Lindholmarna' path. Therefore, when you now go down the Kilbommarna communist path, Sweden will no longer be called 'National Bolshevik State of Sweden'. These paths do share some focuses though.

-Changed some focus locations and tweaked effects

-Karlian Gamble Failure Focus tree branch: - this is a focus tree branch which only appears if you've failed the Karelian Gamble. Since failing the gamble was never fun and there was no way good way to continue from there on, I take it most players just restarted the game or loaded a save file. Fighting a desperate defence and... dealing with other issues... might prove to be interesting enough to encourage you to continue your playthrough.

-Improved some focus icons / names

-Added game rule option 'Sweden Fragmentation Status' :)

-Added big red shiny fun button under Snusmumriken's Super Secret Super Decisions tab (debug mode)... I wonder what it does? (Pro tip: You can hold down the 'Enter' key to quickly discard many pop-ups.)

-Added alternative way to win the Winter War as Finland / Sweden - control Leningrad, Petrozavodsk and Murmansk.

I've resized, changed saturation and smudged & jittered them to make them somewhat resemble the artstyle of HoI4. The last one is from War Thunder, where I've tried to extend it to fit the HoI4 loading screen format and also removed the War Thunder logos.

-New song: Folk i Gevär (Instrumental). I know there's a version with Swedish lyrics, but since that's a modern recording it feels very out of place to include.
-Mislabeled song 'Att Flyga Är Livet' renamed 'Att Flyga Är Att Leva'. Oops.

-Focus 'Fort Åland' changed name to 'X-operationen', based on a scrapped historical operation to remilitarize the islands by Sweden. Credit to CrankyRack for providing info.

-New heavy tank icon alternative in the tank designer. 'Swedish tiger' paint job - perfect for when you want to conquer Europe with extra style ;)

-Non NSB DLC Modern Tank art should now correctly depict Strv 81.

-Swedish generic Heavy Tank Model should now be painted green instead of the generic rusty brown.

-Militia regiment namelist added.

-3 new tags: Åland, Faroes, Greenland.

-New vp: Tórshavn. (I had to add a vp to the Faroes, otherwise they wouldn't have a capital)
-New vp: Boden. Also added 3 forts to this province. Should represent the mighty Boden Fortress.

-Malmö province changed terrain type from plains to urban. There are even smaller cities in game which make use of the urban terrain, so I think it's alright to apply it here too.

National spirit 'Sjökrigshögskolan' no longer gives naval coordination bonus, but spotting chance bonus instead. Did this since a new national spirit increases coordination in the Nordic focus branch.

-Focus Levnadsrum duration lowered from 210 to 105 days. Was just too extreme.

1.65 - Fixes and improvements

-New Game Rule option available: Enable old monarchist focus branch. Scroll down to the bottom to find it. This disables the new civil war stuff and allows you to go down the simpler old monarchist route.

-Propaganda campaign 'Men of the Dales, save the fatherland' is now also available after the monarchist garrison minigame is over.

-Split the company merging project 'Expand Bofors' into 'Expand Bofors Anti-Air Department' and 'Expand Bofors Anti-Tank Department'. They do stack, so you can still obtain all artillery buffs. I split the cost in half from 100 to 50 too. Also, I renamed the initial Bofors trait to 'Quality Howitzer Designer' to differentiate it from the last combined trait, which is called 'Quality Artillery Designer'.

-Changed Scania Vabis trait to a new one I made - Mechanized Equipment Designer. Gives mechanized 5% hardness, max speed and reliability buffs. Did this since it really became overshadowed by all the other companies.

-New design company merging projects:
Create Götaverkens Aviation Department - enables a naval aircraft designer
Expand Scania Vabis Amtrac Department - Gives same buff to amtracs as it does to mechanized.
Nationalize ASJ - +5% Train research Speed, +2% Mobilization Speed. Same as its Soviet counterpart.
Create Bofors [REDACTED] Department - Realize Bofors wet dream, which gives [REDACTED]: 10% reliability, 10% bombardment. :)

-[REDACTED] namelist should now work properly.

-Added debug option to shorten the company project durations to 3 days (and option to return to 90 days).

-Post civil war humanitarian aid to states decisions can now be taken simultaneously.

-Focus 'Höghavsflottan' no longer automatically bypassed.

-Baltoscandic integration project no longer requires the state Spanish Africa, but Kurzeme instead. Oops...

-Reshuffled the navy high command and chief of navy traits a bit.

-Operative Erika Wendt new younger picture, colorized by me. Historically, she was just 19 in 1936.

-Slightly altered appeasement decision costs.

-Rocket Artillery and Motorized Rocket Artillery now have unique names.
-Infantry anti-tank weapons 1 now has unique name.

-Focus 'Pansarskepp Refitting' now unlocks Torpedo Cruisers tech. Sweden originally had some old torpedo cruisers before 1936, but since the HoI4 torpedo cruisers (from Japan's focus tree) are based on 1940 cruisers, I figured this was some sort of compromise.

-Jung's Junta Trait will now be removed from officers upon completion of the focus 'Fifth Defence Act'. This is just cosmetic/historical, no effect.

-Haijbyaffären event should now have the correct description.

-1 new song: Skaraborgs Regementes Marsch - Should totally be Sweden's theme if we ever make an appearance in Girls und Panzer lol.

1.64 - Fixes and improvements

-Improved non-DLC compatability for the civil war.

-Fixed some bugs regarding state ownership when the civil war starts.

-Changed some civil war division template icons.

-Eliminate guerilla decision cost lowered from 40 to 30.

-Humanitarian aid decision cost lowered from 20 to 15. Duration lowered from 90 to 70 days.

-Integrate nordic militaries decisions costs lowered from 200 to 100.

-Focus 'Conquer Denmark' is now more interesting. It gives you +5 compliance in all Swedish states with resistance (which you've gained from the civil war). Upon winning the war against Denmark, you will modify the 'Recovering from Civil War' debuff. You will also get an event to proclaim the Swedish Empire, without having to fulfill the triggers for the actual decision. The ideas and motivation behind this is to unify your population against an external enemy, finance the civil war recovery from spoils of war, and lastly to kind of mimic the proclamation of the German Empire in Versailles, which I thought would be cool.

-Added news event for the restoration of the Swedish Empire with 3 different descriptions: 1 generic, 1 if Conquer Denmark focus is taken, 1 if Conquer Denmark focus is taken and Germany has gone for monarchy.

-Focus 'Anti-Snapphane Patrols' now gives state modifiers to all mainland Danish core states instead of a national spirit.

-Added news event for Sweden taking Copenhagen.

-Lowered some post civil war monarchist focus times. Did this so it will be easier to get Denmark and Norway before Weserubung. It's still quite hard though.

-Tried to improve some pre-requisite / bypass triggers for post civil war monarchist focuses.

-Fixed some event descriptions missing.

-New notification event, telling the monarchist side that the loyalist side have turned to communism and that Soviet help might soon arrive.

-Added debug decision under 'Recovering from Civil War' tab that increases compliance in all Swedish core states with resistance by +5%.
-Don't know if I've mentioned this, but there are debug options under the civil war preparations decision tab, allowing you to add/remove days to the military plot mission timer and add/remove Jung Junta traits from officers.
-To activate debug mode:
Press the § key, located most likely to the left of your 1 key.
Type in 'debug' in the command prompt.
Done, now you should be able to see all debug options. To deactivate, simply type in debug again.
