ANNOUNCEMENT
This is expected to be one of the final updates to Misc Fixes. Please use the Community Balance/Bugfix Patch moving forward.

CBP has the following features:
  • Includes all relevant fixes from Misc Fixes, including the mods already integrated in Misc Fixes, and including Optional Changes.
  • Fixes even more bugs, including the enormous object masks bug which causes over 20,000 damage modifiers to be broken in EE.
  • Improved overall game balance, especially for RNG elements.
  • Significantly easier to use.
  • Significantly better multiplayer stability.
  • Support for languages other than just English.
*Some of the above are only implemented in Alpha 7 onwards.

============================================================

Followups:
  • Minor improvements to the animation timings for the Fluyt and Clipper.
  • Arquebus Immortal projectile speed increased from 300 to 350 (350 is the standard for most guns).
  • After significant contemplation over a few months, I've come to a decision about which parts of the Ironclad to consider bugged. In short, it now matches the Fluyt's attack animations entirely, but has had its attack recharge increased from 25 to 30. It has been given a valid attack while moving, and appropriate damage modifiers have been applied (such as reduced damage vs Fishermen and significantly increased damage vs Fireships).
  • See the Gameplay Fixes discussion for full details about these changes, especially the Ironclad-related ones.

Update: Jun 13, 2021 @ 9:34am

(Accidentally didn't include this in the previous update)

Tooltip fixes:

  • Napoleon tooltip updated to correctly indicate he has quadruple (not double) craft.

Update: Jun 13, 2021 @ 9:28am

All changes in this update relate exclusively to the Napoleon campaign.

Conquer the World fixes:

  • Napoleon campaign: Fixed a scripting error that prevented Savoy from voluntarily joining if you won the Piedmont scenario. (thanks to Timid for noting this issue)
  • Napoleon campaign: Removed instruction to caputre Sweden's capital.
  • Napoleon campaign: Added instruction to capture Sweden's capital.🙃

Optional changes: (as usual these must be manually enabled per previous instructions)
  • Added the ability to zoom out slightly on the Napoleon CtW board. This is only an optional change because I lack a deep understanding of why this isn't already included by default (i.e. is there a graphical compatibility issue or something if it's enabled?).

Update: Jun 2, 2021 @ 8:51am

Graphics / sound fixes:

  • The snow variant of the Major City used by some nations no longer has a graphical glitch in the window area of the bottom left of the sprite.
  • On the loading screen, the Rules and Map Info header is now centered.
  • The Iroquois' heavy infantry UU line now correctly plays the heavy infantry selection sound, not the light infantry selection sound.

Tooltip fixes:
  • The tooltips for the Strategy tech line researched at Forts now explicitly mention that they improve Ambush and Create Decoys.
  • The tooltip for the Senate now explicitly mentions that the Patriot has slightly more range than a normal General.
  • The tooltips for each of the Patriots now explicitly lists their bonus range (+1 for "green" Patriots, +3 for "red" Patriots).

Followups:
  • The tooltip for Capitalism has been updated to briefly reference the economic production benefits which The CEO provides (which was already previously added to The CEO's tooltip).

Misc:
  • The mod's folder has been renamed from Unit Fixes to Misc Fixes to reflect the mod's previous name change. For this update you'll need to delete the old copy of the local mod instead of simply replacing it, but this only needs to be done once because future updates will continue using the Misc Fixes nomenclature.
  • The custom scenario initially suggested for testing has been removed as it was no longer being updated with new changes. If you'd like to quickly test the mod's changes, the game's built-in cheats are generally superior.
  • building_graphics.xml has been removed from the mod, as any changes that needed the file are not planned to be implemented, and any changes which may have needed the file have been implemented without changing it.

Update: Mar 8, 2021 @ 10:25pm

Gameplay fixes:

  • Carrack attack delay reduced from ~1.9s average for all arrows (the longest in the game, by a wide margin) to ~1.1s average for all arrows. Long-term DPS remains unchanged, but this will make it perform closer to expectations at the start of fights.

Update: Mar 8, 2021 @ 2:21am

Gameplay fixes:

  • Barks and Triremes no longer deal and receive damage as if they're Modern Age units (they no longer perform as well as Age III units!).
  • Okwari now receive the expected amount of damage from the Armored Car line (previously ~10% too much).

Graphics / sound fixes:
  • All modern-era Spies play correct sound during Counterintelligence (previously some were silent).

Followups / Enhancements:
  • Fluyts now correctly spawn projectiles for their attack while moving (without this they don't deal damage despite having graphics and sound for the attacks). (Clippers and Brigs were not affected)
  • Fluyts and Clippers have had their original firing animations manually re-timed, and the accompanying firing graphics and sounds re-aligned with the updated animation. They now once again use these animations for their primary attacks, and their ammo count has been partially restored to 2 (from 1 in original fix).

Update: Dec 12, 2020 @ 6:02am

Mod integration + Optional changes:

  • Interface Icons Fix has replaced Modernised Emotes as the default UI-fix mod due to some feedback received. Modernised Emotes is available as an optional change.

Graphics / sound fixes:
  • Some of the fixes regarding missing sounds on units (patch on 26 Nov @ 6:21pm AEDT) were actually missing in that update (I'm not sure why, probably human error on my part) - they are included in this update instead.

Update: Nov 29, 2020 @ 12:09am

One of the previous two updates included some unnecessary extra testing files - this update has removed these files.

Update: Nov 26, 2020 @ 8:20am

This one slipped through my final checklist for the previous update, but was originally intended to be part of it.

Gameplay fixes:

  • Arquebus Immortals now have the projectile speed of a gun.

Update: Nov 25, 2020 @ 11:21pm

Graphics / sound fixes:

  • Fixed: Female citizens for most nations are no longer gender-swapped on snow maps.
  • Fixed: The Light Horse utilised by most nations had no attack sounds.
  • Fixed: "Arab" Slingers had no attack sounds.
  • Fixed: "Arab" Crossbows had incorrectly timed attack sounds.

Tooltip fixes:
  • Clarified: Removed ambiguity in Obsidian's tooltip.

NEW: Enhancements:
  • Fixed: Iroquoian HI UUs tooltips now have superfluous instead of redundant information :sunglasses:
  • OPTIONAL: Re-added unique texture for Asian Attack Helicopters.*
  • OPTIONAL: Reduced the visual loudness of radar jamming texture.*
  • OPTIONAL: Added modded modern Asian Spy texture (based on removed texture).*

* See instructions for how to enable optional changes.
