Version 4

Updated sooner than intended to get compatibility with the 1.4 patch.

- Equestria should now get the CB from the last of the "Expansion" ideas.

- Instead of controlling a vast area of land, the Pegasus Colonies now have only 4 provinces at start. Instead, they get specialized ideas allowing them to colonise and fight the natives. This will receive more attention in another update, in order to have the AI effectivly colonise.

- Added decision : the Running of the Leaves

- Changed the CB of the Pegasus-Equestria war and the length of it. It was now an independance war that finished a day before the game starts. This makes the start-game truce last longer.

- the "stealing the enlightenment" decision should have been replaced by an unique CB.. I'm not sure honestly, that's written on my notes but I can't remember it well, it may very well be bugged. Will look into that.

1.4 patch related changes :

- added a new unit called "iroquis_rifle_scout". That is because Paradox misspelt the name of one of their units in their files.

- Adapted the mil.txt, technology.txt, contryview.gfx and provinceview.gfx files, along with the graphics. (basically, all the files that replaced stuff instead of adding)


Known problems will be addressed in a coming fix :

- The "Stealing the enlightenment" thing I already talked about

- I forgot to disable the "quest for harmony" events, which is kind of a problem since there's one that makes the game crash. Let's hope nobody runs into it because that would be a game breaker. (the whole quest for harmony thing isn't finished yet)

- The religion icons are off.. Don't worry folks, I'm asking Feather right now.

- Paradox added a new province North of Unicornia. Not a big problem but I should make it a pony culture one of these days..

Version 3

Was supposed to be a significant update, but a lot of major additions were postponed because I couldn't get them to work.

- Reworked all pony land units. They now have different, more balanced stats (and are on par with Europeans units), but also different descriptions provided by Mr Sharp. This also fixed a bug that made it impossible to unlock units after a certain level.

- Added minor events about the Selenite reformations (positive version of the conversion event)

- Very slightly reworked Localisation. The Alicorn culture became the Cosmoponytane culture.

Somewhat significant changes :

- Added the Crystal Empire and the Crystal Ponies. Added two events for them.

- Added a Lunar Republic event (MTTH 50 years after the appareance of the Selenites)

- Worked on compatibility (put the mod in separate files)


Fixes and small changes :


- the MTTH for the provinces converting to Selenite is now 200 months instead of 20

- the cavalry units have all received +2 offensive morale. An units overhaul has yet to come.

- Some starting provinces, particularly for the Pegasi, now have a higher tax base

- When Pegasia ponynized, they didn't get the pony units. Fixed now.

- The Colonies cannot reform into Pegasia while at war anymore.

- The country ideas of Equestria & Pegasia have been nerfed.

- the Pegasia/Colonies PU is now 20 years old at the start instead of 0.

Fixes and small changes :

Luna's Appeal now fires at 10 War exhaustion instead of 15

The province view religion icons were reduced in size so they are smaller than the boxes. Now they look bad. Oh well.

Added a localization for "Alicorn"

Changed the localisation of the localisation. It is now in one unique file, for better compatibility.

Replaced the default loading screens with custom ones made by the CK2 team.



Added some decisions as content :

Equestria can now "Find the Iron Pony" and "Form the Mane6 secret services".

The Pegasus Colonies can reform into Pegasia if Pegasia does not exist.



Severely buffed Pegasia, to counter Equestrian expansion :

Pegasia now has its own militaristic ideas (shared with the Colonies)

If Pegasia control the Equestrian capital and has a ruler with an ADM skill of 3, it can gain the "Enlightened Ponies" tech group at the cost of -6 stability.

Added "Luna's Appeal", the Selenite Reformation

Changed the custom flags to the CK2 MLP mod flags. The original flags are still in the files.

Added a decision to build Canterlot in Conoy.

Pegasia is no more an Equestrian vassal.

Pegasia had a war with Equestria and possesses Earth Pony land.

Pegasia is now leading a PU with the newly created "Pegasus Colonies"

Ponyland has been expanded and now shares a border with the Aztecs.

Unicornia got one more uninteresting province.

Separated Equestria into one Equestria province and three vassals.

Added specific pony units.

Gave Pegasia two non-cored, Navajo, pagan provinces.

Religion Icons working, colors changed.

Tech group and Ideas slightly modified (the +300% missionary efficiency has been replaced by a +3% bonus).

Ponies now have their own "Enlightened Ponies" tech group. Unit appareance is back to Western since they look like cute little puppets.

Got some descriptions/name working (lower case no more !).

I have an icon for the Celestian religion but not for Selenite.

Added the "Celestian Enlightenment" (monarchy) government form. Added the Equestrian National Ideas.

Also changed dynasty names, the previous ones were weird in game.
