Follow-up patch with buffs to Ice Shard.

Balance Improvements:

  • Ice Shard's damage has been increased from 80 to 83.
  • Ice Shard's shatter damage has been increased from 26 to 33.
  • Ice Shard's cooldown has been reduced from 3 to 2 turns.

Odinblade's Quick Thoughts:

With the new improvements to both Ice Fan and Hail Strike, Ice Shard was being overshadowed and needed a little boost to help make it a more attractive skill option. Due to the reduction in Chilled duration, this skill can stand to be on a shorter cooldown, helping it to stand out as a single target projectile (although the shatter effect does introduce some AoE damage too!).

A few intial balance improvements, primarily to Harsh Current and the duration of Wet and Chilled debuffs.

Balance Improvements:

  • Reduced the duration of Wet applied by the following skills from 2 turns to 1:
    • Dampening Wave
    • Bubblebeam
    • To-and-Flow
    • Harsh Current
    • Rebuke
    • Waterspout
    • Song of the Seas
    • Waterfall
  • Reduced the duration of Chilled applied by the following skills from 2 turns to 1:
    • Ice Shard
    • Ice Fan
    • Hail Strike
    • Ring of Frost
    • Global Cooling
    • Winter Blast
  • Harsh Current's radius has been reduced from 5m to 4m.
  • Harsh Current's AP cost has been increased from 2 to 3.
  • Harsh Current's damage has been reduced from 90 to 86.
  • Ice Fan's damage has been increased from 32 to 35 per projectile.
  • Ice Fan's surface size reduced from 2m to 1m.
  • Ice Fan's hit radius reduced from 2m to 1m.
  • Hail Strike's damage has been increased from 42 to 44 per projectile.
  • Ring of Frost's damage has been increased from 36 to 37 per projectile.
  • Waterspout's surface size reduced from 4m to 2m.

Bug Fixes:
  • Resolved an issue where the Ice Elemental was failing to successfully complete an attack. The animation is a bit wobbly at the moment, but I'm working on an improvement!

Odinblade's Quick Thoughts:

Status duration reduction narrows the window for Freezing and Stunning enemies. I feel that 1 turn is still enough simply due to the plethora of skills which now apply both statuses. Harsh Current has been suitably nerfed as was providing too much value in terms of crowd-control for its cost. Ice Fan has been tweaked so as not to completely replace Hail Strike with it's lower cost.
