Hotfix 1.11.1 Restricted mode

If Real Time fails to activate some its features due to technical problems with the Harmony library or due to compatibility issues with other mods, the mod will try to run in restricted mode (with some features disabled).

1.11: DLC events and additional citizen information

  • Real Time now integrates nicely with the vanilla events. No more football matches at 2 a.m. that last for 7 hours! If you have no Match Day DLC or Concert DLC, you probably will not notice anything.
  • The citizen and vehicle info bubbles now additionally show the citizen's work shift and their current schedule (where to go and how long to stay). Also, the vacation information is shown here.
  • Fixed issue that caused residential buildings not to show their colored states (level, education, health, etc.) when the lights were out at night.
  • The 'Few' and 'More' virtual citizens options were removed. The 'Vanilla' mode is suitable for most cities. If you have a hardcore system with lots of CPU and graphics power, you can still use the 'All citizens are real' option. This option is also suitable for small cities.
  • Minor improvements in shopping and relaxing schedules.
  • Fixed an issue that might cause the citizens to stay in the shelters for too long (for Natural Disasters DLC).

1.10: Even More Real! Vacations, growing-up, and stats.

  • Vacations! Citizen now can go on vacation for some days! They will not go to work on those days. Families also prefer to go on vacation all together (parents and children). Maximum vacation days can be configured.
  • All the stats in the game now show not the "last week" info (this was wrong for Real Time anyway), but the actual time period these stats were gathered for (e.g. 40 minutes or 5 minutes).
  • Citizens will now grow-up slowly! No more 2-day school visits! A Real Time day means approximately 4 months of a citizen's life.
  • If the 'Citizen Lifecycle Rebalance' mod is active, the above feature will be silently disabled, so there are no incompatibilities.
  • Leisure buildings with active NIMBY policy will switch off the lights at night. They are closed. Shh!
  • Time speed 7 is not available anymore - it was too fast for a good Real Time experience. The fastes speed is now 6.
  • Real Time will show a message when active incompatible mods are detected.
  • Slightly improved performance.
  • Fixed an issue that caused dead citizens to disappear from hearse vehicles while being transferred to cemeteries or crematories.
  • Fixed an issue that caused citizens to stay at work or school for too long (if they couldn't find a shop or an entertainment).
  • Fixed a very minor incompatibility with 'Transport Manager: President Edition' (didn't affect anything).

1.9: Smart tourists

  • Smart tourists! They won't go to your parks at night and will try to avoid bad weather.
  • New option! 'Shopping just for fun' probability. You can decide whether your citizens go shopping even when they don't need to buy anything.
  • Citizens won't go shopping for fun on bad weather.
  • Citizens will not visit car parking lots and garages.
  • Improved lights off in the night: the high level offices and commercial buildings, as well as unique buildings will be lit all night long.
  • Slightly changed the local building search area.
  • The mod's options will now be saved for each game independently.
  • The days are now a little bit longer.
  • New logo!
  • Updated Spanish translation.

Hotfix 1.8.5: Customers! Customers everywhere!

  • Fixed the annoying issue caused the commercial buildings to show "not enough customers" or "not operating" problems.
  • Fixed low or missing commercial demand.
  • Fixed an issue caused too few citizens on the streets.
  • Citizens now ignore bad weather when they need to buy something.
  • Citizens now can go shopping just for fun even if they don't need to buy anything.
  • Changed the commercial building visiting behavior: no more hundreds of people heading to a single pizzeria!
  • Goods now can become spoiled in the commercial buildings' stocks.
  • Fixed issue caused the mod settings to display "No Locale found" instead of options.
  • Various minor bugfixes.
  • Slightly improved performance.
  • Added Chinese (simplified) translation.

Please note: if your city currently suffers from the "no customers" or "commercial building not operating" problem, you should wait for approx. 24h (game hours). The problems will not disappear at once, they will be solved gradually. Be patient!

Alternatively, you can bulldoze away all the buildings with problems, if you don't want to wait.

Hotfix 1.8.4: Shopping!

Tweaked citizens' shopping behavior.
This is the first part (quick fix for now) of the Great Shopping Change that comes with version 1.9.

Now, citizens that need goods will go shopping as soon as possible:

  • working citizens would prefer shopping after work, some of them will search shops nearby before going to work
  • unemployed and seniors will go shopping when they wake up
  • slightly increased night shopping chance
  • citizens that work second or night shift will go shopping before or after work
