Hotfix 1.16.3

Traffic Manager: President Edition could show an incompatibility message when Real Time is enabled.
In fact, there was no incompatibility, this is just due to the fact how TM:PE checks the game parts it modifies.

Now, TM:PE will not complain about that.

1.16: Time & Date and Bugfixes

  • For the English language, the European time and date formats will be used by default (Great Britain). If you want to use the USA formats (e.g. 12h time format), activate an option in the mod's settings.
  • Fixed an issue with vanilla events (football matches, concerts) - sometimes they shifted their start time into the future.
  • Fixed an issue that caused tourists not to go to shelters on evacuation (when on a walking tour).
  • Fixed an issue that caused citizens to leave the shelters sometimes, even when evacuation was active.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the time speed not to be reverted back to vanilla mode on exiting to main menu.

1.15: Realistic journeys

  • When heading to work, shopping, or entertainment and waiting for public transport or taxi for too long, citizens will get angry and will cancel their trips; instead, they will go home again. They will wait for some time and try to reach their destination one more time.
  • When heading home and waiting for public transport or taxi for too long, citizens will get angry too, but will try to wait longer. If that doesn't help, they will try another route (e.g. by car, or by foot).
  • When driving and stuck in a traffic jam for several hours, citizens will get angry again! They will cancel their journeys and try to find some entertainment nearby. If there's nothing around, they will try to get home.
  • The Traffic Routes view now shows buildings in color: royal blue buildings are okay, dark blue buildings are somewhat problematic to reach due to traffic jams or overcrowded public transport, red buildings mean citizens have real troubles reaching those and cancel their journeys (work, shopping, entertainment) or try different routes (residential). Note: this information will not be saved and is always calculated dynamically. After loading a new game, you will see that all buildings are "okay". However, if there are some citizens complaints, the buildings will quickly turn dark blue or even red again.
  • Made Real Time compatible with Ploppable RICO, Plop the Growables, Building Themes, Force Level Up. If any of those mods is active, Real Time will not apply its building construction and upgrading restrictions.
  • Slightly restructured the mod's options.
  • Fixed an issue caused schools to open too late if the school begin hour was set to earlier than 5:30 a.m.
  • Updated Korean translation.

  • Schools and universities have now an extended first work shift that begins early in the morning.

1.14: Real Park Life!

  • Many-many parks and other buildings will be automatically closed at night! No more bouncy castle in the dark, no more noisy amusement parks and beach volleyball at 2 a.m.!
  • (Park Life DLC) All the animals in the zoo will go to sleep in the night time too. Finally silence at night!
  • (Park Life DLC) The mascots in the parks will no more entertain nobody in the night. Parks closed - mascots go home!
  • (Park Life DLC) No more park maintenance trucks at night! The park maintenance depot is also closed in the night time.
  • (Park Life DLC) No more fireworks all-night-long! If fireworks are enabled, they will start after sunset but stop at go-to-sleep time (configured in Real Time's options).
  • (Park Life DLC) When park policy 'Night tours' is enabled, the park buildings will not be closed at night, so citizens and tourists can visit them.
  • Garbage and road services now work 24/7.
  • Fixed an issue caused the building lights to go out too late in the morning for buildings with two work shifts.
  • Fixed an issue sometimes caused inaccurate displaying of the vanilla events on the time bar.
  • Fixed an issue sometimes caused tourists to try visiting inactive buildings.
  • Updated the Harmony library to the latest version. Hopefully, there are not so many bugs, and Real Time will work together with other mods.
  • Slightly improved overall performance.

  • Citizens will now get inside the buildings, when the weather becomes bad (rain or snow).
  • The maximum number of at the same time active construction sites is now restricted. This depends on the city size - larger cities can have more construction sites than smaller ones. These restrictions are set for each zone separately (residential, commercial, industrial, offices).
  • The Rush Hour XML events can now be loaded from the Workshop buildings that offer those event definitions. However, the event system is very limited in Real Time. There is no impact on your budget, and you cannot configure the events. They will randomly take place in the corresponding buildings, and the citizens will just attend those events.
  • Updated the Korean translation.
  • Updated the French translation.

1.12: Time warping and realistic birth rates

  • Real Time is now partly compatible with Time Warp and Ultimate Eyecandy. You can change the time of the day in those mods, but the game will be automatically paused. When you resume the game, the time will be reverted back. This allows you to quickly build something or to make screenshots (while paused). Note that the time speed options will not work in those mods.
  • The birth rates are now realistic!
  • A new option to disable the realistic aging and birth rates. Deactivate this option if you would like the citizens to graduate from schools in a couple of hours (like in vanilla game).
  • The citizens can now estimate their travel time to work more precisely!
  • A new game will always be started early in the morning. This is to allow you to construct your first buildings right away, without waiting for the next morning.
  • Fixed an issue caused the wrong sun position (zenith at 5 p.m. was definitely wrong!)
  • Fixed an issue sometimes caused the tourists to wrongly think they are evacuating while they aren't.

Hotfix 1.11.3: Citizen aging

After some complaints about the too slow citizen growing-up, the logic was changed: now 1 game day equals 1 citizen year. So, a child graduates from elementary school in 5 days, a teen graduates from high school in 10 days, a random citizen lives approx. 84 game days.
