With 6.82, Pulse Nova now deals 100 magic damage for the small price of 70 mana cost! I think it's an absolute must to level it at 6, 11, and 16.

The Bonus movespeed, great mana regen, ability to set up his stun without fail, and keep use his ult and edict while cycloned is amazing. I'd suggest it as a core item for him followed by a vitality booster for raw hp / eventual heart. He's really not much of a support, as he needs to stay alive to deal his damage, and needs to be in the middle of things to do so. He needs more items than mek/arcanes, and gets a good bit of tankiness from all his other items.
