Green Necrofire

Omschrijving
Makes necrofire surfaces and clouds green. Also removes the worm/roots from necrofire.

Norbyte's Divinity Script Extender
If the extender[github.com] is present, this mod will override necrofire-related skills to use green-colored effects, in a way that preserves changes overhauls makes to those skills (such as Odinblade's Pyromancer Overhaul's changes to Epidemic of Fire).

Additionally if LeaderLib is present with the extender, Epidemic of Fire, Necrofire Infusion, and the necrofire-related statuses will all use new green-themed icons. Just like the skill effect changes, this is in a compatible way that preserves changes other mods make to these statuses/skills.

Extender Setup
  1. Download & extract ScriptExtender-Updater-v52.zip.
  2. Copy DXGI.dll.
  3. Navigate to the bin directory of the Definitive Edition of the game:
    Divinity Original Sin 2\DefEd\bin
Tip: You can get to this folder quickly by right clicking DOS2 in Steam, select "Properties", then click the "Local Files" tab, then click "Browse Local Files". Finally, open the DefEd folder, then the bin folder.
  4. Paste DXGI.dll into the bin folder, so it's in the same folder as EoCApp.exe.

DXGI Note
If you already have a DXGI.dll in your folder from using Divinity Unleashed, that's the same file. We're using the same extender and are compatible!

If you're using Reshade, rename Reshade's DXGI.dll to DXGINext.dll.

Pet Power
Limited support for Larian's Pet Power mod is also added if the extender is present. This is mainly making sure the new statuses have the right icon. Making their effects green currently is difficult since we don't have access to their editor effect files (we need an editor data update?).

Support
If you're feeling generous, an easy way to show support is by tipping me a coffee:

I love modding this game, and I love interacting with the community. Every bit helps to keep me doing what I'm doing. Thanks!

@Atenospark {CFRO} That's definitely not normal / expected. What's suppose to happen is the game copies mods to your documents mods folder when you launch the game, but for some people this doesn't happen, for whatever reason. Could be a permission issue, path issue, some problem with the game finding the related folders, etc.

I have a mod manager available that has an update tab to automate that process (copying mods from the workshop folder to the documents folder),.available here:

@Grizzola That's an issue with steam itself. You have to manually go into your workshop folder (D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\435150) and move those mods there to your mods folder (C:\Users\brand\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition\Mods). These mods also don't update themselves (the ones you have to move yourself) so you have to periodically check your workshop folder to see if they're updated, then you have to manually install them again.

This doesn't work for me for whatever reason, I have the extender, i hit subscribe, I don't see the mod in the main menu mod list, i load into game and necro fire is still red

Thank you! Take care.

Looks like the problem was I was overriding the original effect resource Hellfire/Necrofire uses. Deleted it and we should be all good.

@Ry Thanks, I'll take a look. Probably just a typo for the effect name.

I have the Osi extender installed and this mod. I think it removes the fire effect from The Historian on fort joy. He still has the "hellfire" status, there's just no flames on him. Not a big deal; just broke the immersion.

@Genguin47 Anything but the surface color changes requires the Osi Extender to be active, as I override the related stats in a compatible way through that.

I seem to have a bug with characters that have Necro Fire statsus, doesn't show them burning.
