So i captured one but if i try to drill The drills break off. It seems that i cant hold it very static. So one slight angle difeference compaired to the hole im digging the sides of the drill hit the earth or something and the whole drill assembyl breaks off. Somebody knows how i can make it work?

I would recommend tripling the downward facing thrust on this ship, increasing the length of the drilling arm to reach deeper ores, adding a few more gyros, and adding at least 3x large thrusters each in the forward facing, rear facing, left facing, and right facing directions. (ie: spam the thrusters, and increase pwr gen/storage to compensate).

#1.b) On the Mobile Mining Platform, this means that the platform itself only has enough thrust to hold about 1 - 1.5 maximum depth drilled hole's worth of ore and stone before it begins to collapse under it's own weight. Another problem this reveals is that the extreme top heaviness of the mining platform makes it extremely hard to keep upright when it is laden down with ore and stone to the point that simply rotating the ship ("yaw-ing") to change the flight direction could nearly cause the ship to collapse if there is even so much as a teeny, tiny bit of deflection from the horizontal in my mouse movement. (I use a high dpi gaming mouse, so this effect is noticable.)

#1.a) Neither the mobile drilling platform nor the supply transport ship have anywhere close to enough thrust capacity to stay afloat when laden down by cargo or by ore.
On the Supply transport ship, this means that when it gets to about 1/5th of the way full with block and ship components, the default "hold position" function the game uses (or whatever it is called) to maintain a ship's position in an atmosphere w/ natural gravity doesn't apply enough thrust to keep the transport in the air. It slowly sinks to the ground, unless the space key is held down by hand.

I would recommend doubling the vertical thrust capacity of the ship to 4x large thrusters, increasing the lateral thrust by 1 large thruster left & right, replacing/adding to the forweard and rear small thrusters with 2x large thrusters in each direction. (ie, +2 large thrust down facing, + large thrust left, +1 large thrust right, +2 large thrust forward, & +2 large thrust rear).

P.S. After capturing and using some of your ship designs (namely, the supply transport and the mobile drilling platform), I have noticed some minor gameplay issues.

I just have a minor bit of constructive criticism on the design of the ships.

Could you clarify on what "Phantom Forces" are? I have heard that term tossed around a bit, but I don't know what it means. Thanks for your effort and your awesome ships!

this drill is amazing we've been using it as our factions main miner it fly's fine for us we retrofitted it to attach to our station but have had no ai problems or fly straight great ship keep up the amazing work meridius_IX

My guess would be phantom forces from a subgrid. No idea on the supply transport though..

I also have both the hydrogen and the atmo thrusters on, and still, all thrusters, and all four gyros can't keep it upright. I am using it within a planetary gravity well on earth. The gravity is 1G, and the Oxygen density is low, but breathable. The atmospheric thrusters seem to be functioning alright. I don't now what is causing it to tip over. Help!!! I can't land this this, I have to constant;y babysit it, and it is driving me nuts!

P.S. I think you designed another ship used in the modular encounters mod called a "Supply Transport" that has the same issue. I have captured two of thoase so far, and they have the same issue.

Thanks for your understanding and help!
