Description
Real Politiks's objective is to polish the somewhat incomplete political mechanics in the game!

Main goals include
-Making the AI participate and defend from ideology boosting and drift
-Make boosting your opponents a hindrance to add a reason to boost them
-Make major nations difficult to boost, and only give the ability to boost to strong nations

Changes Made (so far)To Achieve These Goals
-England, America, USSR, Germany, and Japan all have more focuses that add significant drift to each other and minors
-Minors nations have a new focus that lets them boost all neighboring countries
-Drift values have been more standardized to add balance
-A new law, censorship, has been added. It reduces the influence of other ideologies in your country. The AI uses it to stop drift
-BOOSTING FROM THE DIPLOMATIC MENU HAS BEEN REMOVED(made ineffective). The AI couldn't use it and it gave minors way too much power to boost others. Instead the many new focuses will be used to boost
-The events that occurred after picking a ideological advisor ("communism on the rise" etc) now always occur when your country gains other large parties
-CHANGE IN GOVERNMENT WILL ALWAYS OCCUR THROUGH CIVIL WAR unless you are non-aligned. As a player, you get to decide which side you play as(as it was in vanilla)

Planned Changes
-Create positive events when your country has 100% of one ideology
-Balance boosting values further
-Consider changing coups

P.S.
This is my first mod and is by no means finished! I still have a lot to do and I'm hoping to keep expanding on it for awhile. Feel free to post suggestions and errors and I'll try to respond ASAP!

could you possibly make coups hidden from players in multiplayer?

There are already two election events for if you have 50+ support for communism or fascism, where you can either change ideology or start a civil-war, but because of how election events work you don't see them too often. But there are still no events for elections in non-democratic countries despite the game giving those countries elections. There are technically events for fascist elections, but they won't fire.

Hey! I agree it would be nice to work in a way to vote in parties, but I dont know how to do it so that being boosted is still a hinderence. But im open to ideas!

What about an options for democratic nations to change ideology by election, as in the base game? It could also be interesting to allow non-democratic countries to have their own elections with events.

@JonD1231 Because I've had to change many countries' focus trees I don't think it could be, but I'd enjoy working on making a version for MD in the future!
