Description
Introducing Nexus Omium's first medium-weight, multi-crew corvette, the Kestrel. This older model ship can still hold its own in the modern era, with a full range of production capabilities, the ability to fly in any atmosphere with it's experimental landing nacelles fabricated, and light anti-pirate armaments. Not intended to be a military vessel, this civilian ship integrated some highly experimental PMW turrets that have since become antiquated.

With a maximum crew compliment of four (4), the ship boasts a medical bay that also includes the Commander's cryopod, as well as a a separate cryo chamber with the remaining cryopods. The bridge has the Commander's chair, Tactical Officer station, and Communications Officer station, while the Engineering Officer's station is in main engineering.

Designed to be used with NXO-SRD03 - Space Miner, and other NXO Small Remote Drones.

Total system specs:
- 1,523,785 kg total mass empty.
- 4 Large atmospheric thrusters and 22 small atmospheric thrusters for movement on any planet.
- 26 small hydrogen thrusters for bridging the gap between atmo and space and as accel/decel boosters.
- An additional 6 small hydrogen thruster and one large hydrogen thruster for atmospheric boosters to aid planetary egress.

- Four hydrogen tanks.
- Four O/H Generators for rapid refueling.
- One small reactor and 17 batteries for all the power needs.
- Two jump drives.
- Living quarters with one medbay and four cryopods.
- Bridge with helm, tactical, and comms stations. Main engineering includes engineering station.
- 2 oxygen tanks with an atmospheric intake to refill air from planet's atmospheres.
- Starbord and Port NXO Universal Airlock systems.
- 2 refineries with full Efficiency upgrades.
- Assembler with full Productivity upgrades.
- 2 small drone landing pads against the dorsal hull.

Developer's Note:
This ship is being published basically as posterity. It's one that I had been working on for a long time a few years ago. Engineering no longer pressurizes because of significant changes to pressurization from KEEN over the years. I'm tired of trying to fix it (if you poke around you can see the two or three things I've done to pressurize it after changes over the years) and am releasing it as-is and moving on to other projects. The same affliction has affected its PMW turrets.

I did test this ship in Survival, and for what it was it performed satisfactorily... mostly. The cargo storage was not nearly enough for the conceived role, except for inventory modifiers. And again, with the newer blocks we have and with the better knowledge I have of the game, I can do much better.

Changelog:
- 20210424: Engineering section now pressurizes, updated multiple scripts. Significant issues remain with the ship due to block changes over the years. Ground-up remodel underway.
- 20220702: Engineering no longer pressurizes. It cannot really be fixed without significant remodeling.
