Description
[2021 Update]

No Mods
Skin DLC Only
100% Vanilla

Description-

This is an early game, hydrogen powered, reusable rocket. It can achieve orbit on 120km worlds with two full hydrogen tanks and 100,000kg of cargo. It must refuel to be able to land again, and can refuel itself with the two onboard oxygen generators.

Designed for survival to be an early game way of reaching the stars, its made of light armour to keep it cheap. The tower holds it in place ready for launch, has access to the cockpit, and allows cargo to be loaded from a connector at the base.

The rocket has an automated launch system that will detatch from, and clear the tower. All rear thrusters burn for 1min then the large rear thruster is cut off, the 4 small thrusters birn for another 2mins. The system is set up to end at 0.2g when launching from earth, this can be easily tweaked by adjusting the timers marked [Burn Time] and [Primary Cut Off].

Blocks-

596

Equipment-

Oxygen Generator x2
Medium Cargo x2
Antenna
Connector
2x small reactor
Auto Launch System
Launch Tower

Notes-

If you want the tower blueprint spawn it into creative and seperate them, then you can bp just the tower :)

Perhaps you could attach atmospheric thrusters to all sides of the ship; while not powerful enough to get into orbit, it might be strong enough to orient and stabilize descent

Haha yeah, landings.....an aquired skill in this thing. You have to land backwards and lock onto the towwer. I did think about a cam on the back and a remote block pointing backwards. Might add it on an update some time, make landing a lil easier :)

It looks good for getting players out to space but i wouldn't want to test it on re-entry.
