Al Khabur (Afghan Village)

Description
Story

Al Khabur is a fictional village located in a rural area of Afghanistan not far away from the Pakistani border. There are no major roads leading into or out of the village, which makes it vulnerable to food shortages, but also an ideal place for militants to hide from foreign armed forces. Most inhabitants of Al Khabur are poor, but self-sufficient farmers.

Many Afghan citizens believe that the village serves as hideout to a high commander of the Taliban. Controversially, the village has not seen military action since the Soviet-Afghan war, which would make it an unusually peaceful and quiet location. However, it is rumored that no foreigner who visited the location has ever returned.

Purpose

This map scenario primarily serves as a framework for mission makers. Feel free to use Al Khabur for your own purposes and edit it to your liking, but please credit me appropriately if you do so. I would also appreciate any feedback and bug reports, so I can further improve the map. Of course, I would be glad to receive suggestions from the community to help me find out what could be added, removed or changed in future. I appreciate any convenient feedback.

If you do not intend to use Al Khabur for a mission, you may still explore the terrain by launching the scenario in a private multiplayer session. Up to 4 players are supported.

It's a scenario (mission file) and not a map, that's why you will only find it under "Scenarios".

@Sus Boy
As long as you credit me as the author of the map, please go ahead and do it. I'd be glad to see a mission on my map.

@Fuchs
Sure, that's basically the main purpose of it. Just find the mission folder (usually in Documents), open it using Pbo-Manager and drag the files into your MPMissions folder. It might also be possible to edit the mission directly in a hosted MP mission and save it as a separate file.
