256 Recruitment Limit

Description
FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS 256, PLACE THIS MOD ON THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE LOAD ORDER

A mod to increase recruitment and squad limit.

Increases recruitable units from 30 to 256
Increases maximum members in each squad from 20 to 50
Increases maximum number of squads from 10 to 20

That's it. No hidden bee pie in this one, sorry.

**Other mods that change the same variables may interfere with this one. To make sure these are the finalized variables that Kenshi uses, please place this mod on the very bottom of the mod loading order, even if other mods ask you to place theirs on the bottom. Doing so will not cause any disruptions in the operation of other mods - It will only ensure the changes this mod makes are prioritized over other mods changing the same variable. Alternatively, if you are very familiar with all the other mods you have and are entirely certain that no other mods affect these same variables, this mod can be placed anywhere in the mod load order. If you are uncertain though, then please place this on the bottom to avoid complications.

NOTE:
This is a player recruitment mod ONLY. It does not effect npc squad spawns, numbers, or behaviors in any way.

Disclaimer: Performance!
There is a reason the game is defaulted to a maximum 30 units. Exceed maximum at your own risk.
Many have reported decreases in both fps and AI processing. This is a result of increased entities in your game world taking up more rendering and processing resources. This is normal, and there is nothing I nor this mod can do about that. There are a few things you can do to help reduce the lag, but ultimately it is up to you to find that sweet spot for yourself.

1. Import your game.
If the lag starts becoming too much, try importing your game. This will clear out a lot of the extra clutter of corpses, items, and orphaned/roaming squad units, freeing up more resources for your own squad. (NPC squads take priority with AI processing. The less of them there are, the better your Ai processing will be.)
Please note that this is a temporary remedy, and over time you may start seeing a decrease in performance again. Rinse and repeat as necessary if desired.

2. Reduce NPC squad number and npc squad size sliders.
This will reduce the amount of npc entities being processed, freeing up resources for your own squad. This is a longterm solution but may not be ideal for some people's gameplay, and may still not be enough depending on how many you recruit.

3. Reduce your own squad count.
If nothing else seems to be working, then chances are you've just simply recruited too many units. Reducing your own squad count may be the only way to aid decreases in performance.

Are you still supposed to see the 30 squad limit after activating the mod?

@maksXDLol,
Absolutely. You can add or remove this mod at any time, in any case, and it will not have any impact other than to remove the ability to recruit over vanilla maximum. If you remove the mod at 40 members, you will still have 40 members, but won't be able to recruit any more until you re-add the mod, or drop below the vanilla maximum. This is a solid plug and play mod with no hooks :)

Thank you for this little tweek.
While I have no idea if I will ever get up to over 30 squad members, I prefer to have the freedom to do so, even if I risk losing performance.
Have a great day !

This mod modifies that same value that determines whether or not freed/bought slaves are capable of joining you, so they should still have the same chance to join you up to 256.
I can confirm myself that this mod does allow slaves to join you after you have more than 30 units.

Try recruiting an npc from a bar to be sure that the mod is working correctly. If you can still recruit normally and are sure that the slaves behavior is not working as expected, then something else might be going on. Any other mods installed? You could also try importing your world to free up some memory to see if the slaves behave appropriately.

So when I was in the UC I bought a bunch of slaves figuring at least some of them would join me but they just stand there outside their cages, they don't run away to freedom or join me they just stand there. One thread I found said if we go over the 30 person limit this happens, even though I have the mod installed is this a known feature?

it's cool to see the holy nation panic because it creates a hive army which is 3 times bigger than theirs to raze their capital, this mod is 1000% necessary
