Description
UPGRADE 1 IS HERE:
The mines are now screaming before they detonate thanks to FocusBoxHero assistance with the sound!

In this upgrade the camo was made better for Mars enviroment and delayed detonation system is also improved.
FocusBoxHero was kind enough to assemble a small robot sounds mod ( don't forget to download it) that you will need for the mine to scream. Everything is set up - and the mine will still work 100% without this aesthetic mod.
I know this makes the mine more fun but more costly - but it's just so much more fun! You are free to just remove the additional sound block to keep the mine cheaper.

--------------------------

It’s so small. It couldn’t possibly be dangerous, right?

In an attempt to colonize a Mars-like planet small, independent robots are tasked with survey, prospecting and finally terraforming. This cheap self deployable robot can be used in three different modes:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. It will wander and explode on contact with enemy (default)
2. It can move forward and deploy itself as a static mine (timer = distance)
3. it can be released in the general direction of known enemies
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the first time a Microbot features an autostart function – be careful with it. When you are within 7 meters of the robot it will remain calm. When you move away from it - it will start its hunting protocol! This is useful if you want to deploy them from low altitude or via another robot. To stop its movement just step into 7 meters zone at any time.

Microbot Mine can work in hunter mode (default) where it will roam, looking for enemies to destroy or you can start the Timer and it will stop after a set period of time, turning into a static defense mine. You can deploy many of them pointing in diferent directions and set the same timer, and you will get a ring of mines around your base.
Mines are a simple weapon though so don’t expect them to be as efficient as turret defense. This Microbot however features a delayed explosion to maximize damage and you can even release it to attack enemy bases and waste the ammo of enemy turrets.

Special rolling propulsion:
- it works
- cannot be flipped
- can traverse very steep slopes
- Less parts, materials and weight

The Microbot Mine is equiped with:
- Warhead
- Rolling propulsion
- Two sensors
- Timer delay for mine deployment
- Reactor
- Some heavy armor to help it roll and blend in with camo pattern
- Audioblock for scaring the **** out of enemies before it explodes

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ADVANCED USE:

Despite its size, this is a medium skill level robot to adapt to your liking but it’s worth it and you will have your own custom mine. I suggest changing the camo pattern to your planet colors. Using the timer block you can also change the distance when the Microbot will turn into a mine. You can swap the timer block for an additional warhead to make it deadlier. You can remove the Friendly sensor and change heavy armor to light armor to make it even cheaper. I dislike heavy armor but this time I’ve used it because it makes the robot roll faster and it features a camo pattern. To affect its movement you can add more power to Pitch gyro (make it around 0,8 – 1, not more) and Microbot will hunt in a large circle staying within 5 km of base.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Amazingly, no mods or even scripts were used. Hopefully this inspires some of your own creations. Stay tuned for more terraforming robots!

I like this blueprint, goods use of small grid warheads. This blueprint was the closest i could find in terms of a " small grid warhead launcher blueprint". Small grid warhead components are 25 L total in your character inventory. If i just had a launcher blueprint that was just 500 L max. LOL

@Red - Ah... right. Those were the amorphous rounded blocks. I'll fix that in a day or two. The regular heavy armor ones will work fine.

sadly the parts used for the top were removed

@parkasever I actually had a similar thought but mine (badumtss) was to actually build a mass deployer ship. Essentially, projector, a few welders, constantly make new mines while flying over enemy territory. The disadvantages? Well... who knows where that thing's going after that...

@McTec Ind. - Muahahaha that's pure evil! I was thinking of making the parachute dropping mine layer spaceship. I'll check out your design.

well was kind of tinkering with your rollbot mine idea and made something truly evil (parachutes hooray!)...what do you think? obviously your bots are more refined because I'm not used to building microrobots and such but not bad for a try eh? ;) http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1174282801

@McTec Ind. That's a great idea! I am already implementing the parachute into microbots as recon drones, I just haven't released anything yet as I am still testing it.

just an idea.what do you think of having an paradrop version (using the new parachute) of your mine that activates the search routine by having a sensor detect voxels (like the ground).so in essence having a mine (or more) being dropped out of plane only to automatically activate when reaching the ground.just an evil idea because robots (evil robots) are your thing.^^
