Large Boarding Ramp - Vanilla

Description
A module to build in a Boarding Ramp for...whatever!

Has about 4.5 large blocks clearance when lowered with pistons fully extended. Ramp is 7 blocks wide.

If you don't like the gridiron look you could swap out for platforms instead.

No Mods.

** The ramp is controlled by the pistons only, simply adjust the extension or speed as desired.

Why isn't the ramp working correctly? When I try to open it, it's move only slightly bit and no more. If I managed to open it somehow, then I can't close it, just rise a small bit then stopped.

It can be done. You could use this design and build a new one into your ship that fits your layout best.

I built one similar to what you describe but changed the ship to be the ramp by adjusting the length and placement of the landing gear:

I am trying to attach the ramp into a ship that can land of a planet load stuff up via ramp and fly off to another planet and dump the stuff

His loading ramp was causing me a fair amount of grief until I figured it out.

Rotors can be fussy and cause a lot of spinout. I had some success removing a rotor head then placing a new one and attaching it. I used that technique when building this guy:
