Hercules-class Assault Cruiser

In 1 collection by MrEvan312
Halo: UNSC Capital Ships (Scaled down)
18 items
Description
The Hercules-class assault cruiser is a capital ship classification in the UNSC Navy. It is best suited to troop transport and planetary assaults.

History
If the Halcyon-class light cruiser is considered the dinosaur of the UNSC fleet, the Hercules is, by comparison, a trilobite. A design dating back to early colonization days, the Hercules is the biggest UNSC cruiser class. Sadly, for its intimidating size, it is hardly an asset in combat. Designed to deliver peacekeeping troops to starting colonies, its armor is weak, it's reactors are horribly outdated, and it cannot accelerate or turn very fast. In fact, these cruisers did not even have MAC's or Archer missiles until the Human-Covenant War came about, and ships were needed. So, the Hercules were rescued from the scrapyard, modified, and rushed into service.

Armament
Siege MAC, Archer Missiles, Point Defense Guns

Equipment
Jump Drives, Assembler, troop bay

Tactics
The Hercules is slow, bulky, not very well armed and has light armor. However, for its size, it is cheap to produce and has abundant room onboard for transporting troops. Use to assault and capture planets or when you need fodder-ships.

To use this ship: This ship has a modest interior with a pilot seat.

PS: This ship is a non-canon build featured in the Homeworld 2 Halo mod. I liked the look.

You asked for unmodded versions of these. Well, they're here! They're larger and less functional, but they look good still and can be easily modded

Okay

I'd try, but they would be much less functional and less attractive. I'm a fan of saying "if you want it, do it yourself." I make these mostly for myself anyway, and if anyone else likes them, it's a bonus. I may make some unmodded versions, but they'll be somewhat larger/
