CAR-class Frigate (Shields)

The CAR-class frigate is an escort classification in the Covenant Navy. Its primary purpose is recon and escort duty.

History
The CAR is a fairly light warship by the Covenant's standards in most aspects. It is light enough to be much faster than destroyers, as well as being very agile. These aspects allow it to be an excellent scout ship, and in numbers can easily overwhelm lighter UNSC vessels. The CAR Frigate's main strength are its high number of plasma point defense weapons, making it ideal for taking down fighters.

Tactics
These vessels operate best when together or alongside larger ships like cruisers, as their rather light shielding and poor armor, as well as a small weapons loadout, make them poor at fighting ships bigger than them, although it can easily destroy its UNSC counterparts.

C: Commonplace, able to be deployed effectively in numbers and easy to produce.
A: Affirmation, a ship designed to scout and observe, equipped to detect Forerunner artifacts.
R: Reverence, able to scout planets and retrieve Forerunner artifacts.

To use this ship: access via antenna/connector and remote control. It is essentially a large drone.
