Description
Not shown in screenshot: Heavy Armor now grants you shield instead of reducing damage, shield amount scales with rank and armor.

This is my first attempt at a custom class, the role of the class is to be able to draw out the length of firefights where soldiers would die in 1 turn easily. I am not very good at balancing but I do think the drawbacks of this class can balance out the strength of their abilities, this class not only sacraficed combat capabilities for survivability in the battlefield, the new wound system also keeps them in check by limiting the frequency of their deployment, not to mention timed missions making drawing out firefights not an optimal choice, so this class should be good to bring out on key missions or redirecting wound times to themselves.

One interesting thing about a class focus on absorbing damage is that panic chance for taking hits has been tuned up a lot in XCOM 2, which means they will panic a lot, the shaken status combined with the method to remove shaken doesn't help much, hopefully this class is a good reason on why you should build mind shields.

Feedbacks are welcome, most ability parameters are also customizable in INI.

TODO:
- More animations?
- More ability effects?
- Icons?
- Porbably a unique secondary that resembles shieldbearers thingy (so perks effectiveness scales with it)



WARNING: As any XCOM 2 mods do, saving a game with a mod enabled will cause the save game only work if and only if the mod is enabled, since this is a tactical game mod there shouldn't be missing content after disabling the mod as long as you don't save in tactical games, so for now you'll have to use this mod to fix it if you decide to disable the mod http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=619141883

No overrides, probably no incompabilities, I also prefixed all names so hopefully it will never conflict with other custom templates.

Can you create shieldbearer item?

1. utility item that using shieldbearer

2 equipment of shieldbearer that can be used in suit (exo-suit and war-suit)

@badmanbacon go to the mod's folder, open classdata.ini with notepad, go to the allowed weapons section, and simply put this code in: +AllowedWeapons=(SlotType=eInvSlot_SecondaryWeapon, WeaponType="sword")
