Deeakron's Very Useful Panel V2.2

Description
The new and improved very useful panel, useful for your scenebuilding needs!

This panel takes every thing that was good with the previous panel and makes it better!
It has 6 more textures, and some of them are special textures (bump map, scroll, self illuminated, etc).
This model no longer has the original scale x and y controls- instead, you can move every single corner of the panel to make it into shapes more preferable for your scenes. All textures also have $nocull in case you need it. All of the pictures that have only old textures were made with the old panel. You can use material overrides to get any texture you need that's not in the model itself.

The model now has an updated hitbox that moves independent of the corners, so just make sure that is onscreen (move it with the bone labelled "Hitbox") and the model will stay visible. Kudos to Caleb for pointing me in the right direction regarding the hitboxes!

The textures are as follows:

wood_floor001
Wooden floor texture, used for wooden structures and the like.

blue_window001_glass
Glass texture, with translucent vmt, can be used for windows, various glass items, etc.

metalduct001a
Self-explanatory. Used for metal ducts.

brickwall001
Brick wall texture. Use for brick structures.

dirtroad001
Texture of a dirt road, useful for placing over ground to make roads. Has alphatest vmt.

dirtground003
Simple dirt ground texture.

grass001
Simple grass texture.

grass_07
Another, different grass texture.

snow_patch
Snow texture that's useful for snowy scenes.

cobblestone001
Stone texture that's useful for paths.

sky_sand_01
Sand texture useful for beaches and deserts.

imetal002
Simple metal texture.

brickwall005
A different brick wall texture that has bump map vmt.

woodtrim001
Another wood texture, however this one has an unlitgeneric vmt.

arrow_lt_red
An arrow texture that has a self illumination texture.

rainbow
Rainbow texture that has an animated vmt.
Maybe needs epileptic warning.

waterfall
Water texture with a scroll vmt. Useful for rivers.

hydroelectric_red
One of the Gun Mettle textures, looks like it could be used for gift wrap.

Skin number 4 needs fix also the bumpmaps would be much appreciated. Otherwise than that pretty useful. :crashthumbsup:

A few hours after I posted the comment I figured it out haha. Thanks anyway. Also I was wondering if you knew how to cycle through skins with a slider rather than having to right click it every time? I've seen it used with your model on a few sfm timelapses.

@creem_, sadly I will not be updating the model any more. If there are other textures you would like to use, you can follow this guide to input custom textures.

For those having issues with the model dissapearing on certain camera angles - add scale control to the Hitbox bone and make it huge.

For whatever reason, this model refuses to work when i add override materials. It won't stretch nor will it even rotate properly- It's pretty annoying, to say the least. Is there a way to fix that, if any at all?

[Update]

For anyone who wants to use this model with shadows, you have to decompile the model, add $MostlyOpaque to the QC file and then compile it again. Then just take your output model from Crowbar and overwrite the original in SourceFilmmaker\game\workshop\models\deeakron\props\panelv2.

@Deeakron this model is a savior, but doesn't seem to cast any shadows. I know you don't maintain this model anymore, but maybe you know how to fix this?

@Fullcaber, unfortunately, since it has been several years since I've last done a lot of SFM, several years since I last updated the model, and I feel the current iteration of the model is complete, I do not have any current plans to update the model. However, if you still want to use additional textures than what is included, you can use material overrides, like in this guide to change the textures. In addition, if you want to use special textures like animated textures or bump maps, you can use overrides on the sample textures of the same type.
