About the mod
Operation Europe or OEM for short is a gamemode that aims to change up the standard CoH 2 style of gameplay for a more fast paced and competative aproach

The Mod's main focus is the adition of a new point based system that replaces the existing victory point system, players gain and lose points via their units, each unit killed has its own values. Aditionally the mod also adds a fuel system to the game forcing players to think more tatctically and carefully when using their vehicles.

The end goal of this mod is to provide a fun new economy styled point based gamemode and allow players to enjoy a brand new aproach to CoH2 with new tactical elements.


New fuel system!
The new fuel system gives most vehicles fuel that they'll burn as the game progresses. Vehicles can run out of fuel, when that happens they'll need to be refuelled. This can be done in many ways (See 2nd picture). Refuelling works in different ways depending on which faction you play. For example the US forces gets their fuel from their base, same goes for OKW. It's a bit different for Wehrmacht and the Soviets. Wehrmacht needs to place barrels or put down an Opel Blitz. The Soviets will need to put down a ZIS-6 truck or construct a fuel dump. UKF gets fuel by upgrading the bunker the Royal Engineers can build. The Universal Carriers can also refuel other vehicles using the bunker. Getting fuel from the buildings works like getting weapons from the american weapon racks, simply right click on the building (for UKF you simply have to stand near the bunker).

New Ammunition System!
The new ammunition system adds a new aspect to the game. Now you also have to think about ammunition for infantry and vehicles. When vehicles and infantry are out of ammunition they wont be able to shoot anymore. Luckily each faction give you an interesting way of resupplying your units; so they once again can join the fight.

Nice idea, but bad to apply. :)

Maybe, try you give much less fuel and munition to tanks and infantrys and return to normal shoot range. Maybe you not give much less fuel or munition, just increas cost they are. Last one think AT guns have max 72 munitions coming to area, but if i lost and reclaim this AT gun, it will take as many rounds as the ammunation of infantry units. Means, this AT gun have least 1000 ammunitions.:steamsad::steamfacepalm:

The balance and weapon stats are at the moment not that great in the mod. I do hope to someday redo that part of the mod, but at the moment the current focus is improving the ammunition and fuel systems.

Hello operation Europ Dev;

I have most question for you and your mod on nest maj :)
on first GG for your mod and the fuel system this is very .. wow :O

For next update

the PPSH41 is not so "op" on mod ? i test why friends and on house, behind a wall etc i lose whis german pionner.

Why not up a defense position for pak43 40 Sfh18 like Vikinger or Realism mod ?

And possibility to inplate a tech tree (defensive doctrime, blitzkieg etc..) on mod ?

I know that feeling. If you don't feel like doing the hard task of balancing and feel ready to let go of some of your work, reverting the unit stats to vanilla would be nice as the game balance is in a good state and still officially supported.

Joning a good team would let you focus on your unique mechanics and don't worry about stuff like balancing while also meaning more people to tackle problems. You might prefer modding alone, just wanted to remind you this option and let you know some realism teams might find integrating your mod into theirs appealing.

By the way I would like to ask you how to disable the blizzard clock interface. You are very experienced obviously.

@ViperCanel Thank you for the kind words! Yeah the balance is quite off, it's just been a while since I've last modded the game so dont really remember a lot of the stats. The AI is definately hindered, and it's quite annoying we dont really have the tools to properly fix such issues with the AI.

Not sure I want to join a mod project at the moment. It has been a while since I've last modded the game. I have also got some exams coming up, leaving little time for modding/programming.
