Bacon's Battery Recycle Mod

Description
I don't have any spare time to update this at the moment.
UltraOne put in some time to make an updated version. I reccomend you to take a look.

Battery Recycle

Recycle your Batteries! With less cheaty Energy!

Grinding down a Battery now produces "PowerCell Scap". This Scrap can be dissembled to the Ressourced you'll need to Assemble new PowerCells.

Build Time for PowerCell-Scrap is 8 Seconds (double time of PowerCell).

Model, Texture & Icon
I need someone who can Art!
Would love to have a damaged looking Model and Icon for this.
I can't make it my own (I totally suck at Art).

@DasBaconfist
Thanks for the reply.

I uploaded my mod, U1 Battery Recycle Updated , to the workshop.

@UlraOne
Go for it.

I have updated this mod to be compatible with version 1.189 of the game. DasBaconfist, do you have any objection to me uploading the new mod to the workshop? I will credit you, of course.

Oh, that's actually pretty clever. I always considered that (like in IRL non-rechargeable batteries) the power cells were assembled in a state in which they could generate power (as batteries do) straight off the bat. Never considered that aspect. Thanks for the explanation.

i'll try to explain: In vanilla you have 30% startup energy and you will get metascrap when grinding the battery down.
Here you will still have the initial charge, but you will get powercellscrap instead of metal scrap. To dissemble this scrap and make powercells out of it again your assembler will need a certain ammount of energy which means you won't get the 30% charge for free instead your assembler will consume it. (i know. the assembler is not using the axact ammout of energy for tihs but i think it's ok)

hope i could help u with this.

What does "no cheaty energy" mean? Is there something I'm not getting? I'd normally assume you were talking about the 30% starting energy, but you clearly say that that is still there, so...?
DasBaconfist  [author] Nov 20, 2015 @ 11:06am
i think they will add more scrappy things like the metal-scrap to put in refineries.

figured you did something like that, I was mainly saying that something like this should be suggested to Keen
DasBaconfist  [author] Nov 20, 2015 @ 9:57am
I set construction to 8 (2x PowerCell time) so it takes 24 Minutes to "transform" PowerCell-Scrap to PowerCell. I think this is ok with the power needed.

wow..., just by reading the description, this needs to be a suggestion or something, maybe it requires the same energy (accounting for all power efficiency upgrades) to produce the charged cell.
