If morness (Skybox dev) keeps promises, much hype. Until then, take it with a grain of salt. Tapsa and I have been informed on some internal workings. And I'll treat that information as private until told otherwise. He has mearly told us of the dev plans, but has not commented much on our own requests regarding the AGE (Advanced Genie Editor) data structures versus ES (Essemble Studios) game source code data structures. All other information is more of a 'heads up' than a sit down discussion. It's a nice change of pace.

tl;dr I'm busy, but I feel for you all, and I will breifly assess the damage 4.4 has done (like 4.0 has done) not just for this mod but others over the coming 48 hours. Dat Mod may be giving an emergency update.

UPDATE:
Nov. 6 (2015) - 3pm pst:
The devs have merged the dataset, and it is saturated with buggy entries. It may be weeks before any data modder will be able to confidently mod without it being overriden with an official patch. Send your love and hate to Cysion.

A custom automated installation process is required, you must download, extract, and run an installation executable. Until the installer is no longer needed, please stay subscribed on Steam. This benefits me and the developers. This also helps to push the demand for more game overhauls.

tl;dr: ALL MUST HAVE, OTHERWISE DO NOT ATTEMPT
Due to the Data Mod lockout in place by the developers, please do not attempt to play regular multiplayer with the AoE2HD:TF data set, unless everyone has this expansion. One of a dozen things will happen, the top three being crash to desktop, desync, and everyone being angry. Until the developers allow Data Mods to be selected and downloaded in-game, the few who do overhauls must use manual and 3rd-party installations to override files.

To reset AoE2HD back to the original, simply:

Library -> Right-Click Game -> Properties -> Local Files ->
'Verify Integrity of Game Cache'

And it will be restored.

Q: Multilanguage?
A: It is for English as of right now. I maybe able to do German and French translations (through software and lookups) for release. For those missing text, you will have to copy what's in the 'Age2HD\resources\en' folder to 'Age2HD\resources\<language>'.

Q: Where's the New Buildings, Units, Research?
A: To get started...

• 'Skiff' requires a regular dock. It's located under the Trade Cog. From there, you will be able to build some of the new buildings. It is available in the Dark Age.
  
• Trade Workshop requires Feudal Age, and is under the market button when building with the Villager.
  
• Chain Shot ships require the Cannon Galleon researched and another upgrade at the Dock to unlock Chain Shot Galleons.
  
• Safe Harbor research requires Fletching (Blacksmith) and Town Watch (Town Center).
