cp_overgrown is a 2cp map a new custom overgrown South American jungle villa resort theme, created originally for the 2015 Summer 72hr Mapping Contest, and later updated in collaboration with Pear, for your consideration in the summer 2023 update!

The map features a train mechanic, where, after capturing first point, attackers can ride the train into a flank route deep in enemy territory.

Crash: Original design/ logic/ layout, detailing, refinement, optimization, clipping.
Pear: Massive gameplay redesigns, custom theme artpass, Overgrown pack custom models/ materials, detailing.
Void: Logo, custom soundscape, material blends.
Fuzzy: Custom materials.
Frontline team: Various windows and door props.
E-Arkham: Tree leaf props base (modified by Pear).

To load the map locally, subscribe, open the game, open the console with ~ (you may have to enable this in the settings), and type "map workshop/503939302" without the quotes.

Got this map on Fish's rebalance servers, had almost everyone on this server of 14 stop to friendly on the last point because everyone was appreciating the map and didn't feel like fighting on it.

Making a little civilization as a battleground turned out really well, and gives this map a level of humor and realism to it as you're fucking punchin people to death in a restaurant, or killbinding in your spawns kitchen. I genuinely want to see more maps attempt to add this level of realism to the layout, it paid off really well.

Honestly beautiful, and I like it a lot. A must-pick whenever it appears in the nomination list.

Yooo I remember testing this turning the jam never knew this was still being developed and even got a swanky art pass.

Adjusted the lighting around the map to be a little less warm, especially indoors
Heavily optimized the map further
Implemented a number of small bug fixes and adjustments
Updated custom asset usages

Nothing major layout-wise. Cleaning it up, optimizing the map further, adjusting the lighting. Mostly just little tweaks to polish it up and get it ready for a bigger audience.
