How to add music to Euro Truck Simulator 2

In this quick guide I will show you how to add musics to your ETS2 game. It is an optional choice for you to add music but it really is effective when you play the game. You will not feel bored anymore playing the game because you will hear musics instead of your truck sounds every where :( Hope this guide is useful for all you guys!

Hello my name is Jonathan and I will be guiding you on how to add music on your ETS2 game!
For those of you who dont know what is the use of music in ETS2 game, then here comes an explanation and tutorial about it!

Explanation

Adding music to your ETS2 game is actually just an optional choice. But it really is an effective thing to do. It helps you not to get bored when playing the game. You will hear your favourite songs in the game instead of boring truck sounds while you drive. Lets just jump right in to the tutorial :)

Tutorial

You will need to follow this very easy instruction in order to add music to your ETS2 game.

1. First you will need an ETS2 base game that you have bought on Steam or the Website.
2. Make sure you have some of your favourite music downloaded on your computer.
3. Open Windows FIle Explorer and click on the "Documents" section. You will see some folders and one of them is called EuroTruck Simulator 2. Click on it!
4. Then click on the "music" folder below the folder "mod".
5. Copy (CTRL C) your songs and paste (CTRL V) it on the music folder.
6. Open the game and you should see your song lists on the game.

(IF YOU DONT KNOW WHERE TO FIND YOUR MUSICS ON THE GAME, THEN FOLLOW THIS)

1.When you open/pause the game you will see all of this option as in the picture below ------->>>
2.Then click on "RADIO" besides "WORLD MAP"
3.You should see Music and Radio Stream option. Click on (Music)
4.There you have it! You just need to play the music and continue driving your truck :)

BONUS TIP:
You can also play songs on Youtube. All you need to do is to make a playlist of songs and run youtube in the background while playing the game. But for some people that have bad internet
connection, it probably will buffer alot of times which makes it annoying.

ok my ets2 doesnt have a music file, so i added my own. but my music isn't showing in game even though it's formatted to mp3

@SkysurferGaz you should mmake sure your music library has music inside else there wont be anything to be imported

The .ogg file format works for music, and I assume mp3 does as well but I am not sure about others

Did you guys know that also Shortcuts to (for exaple) your general musics folder work?

im really glad that i have a mac PC: otherwise i couldnt hear music.but the problem is i didnt see any folders in my Documentury about ets2

Actually, I've found it, as I often do after asking a question. It seems to be in ~/.local/share/Euro\ Truck\ Simulator\ 2/music, which is strange, considering that it claims it is in the documents folder. Now, to find out what formats it supports...

What formats does this support though? On Linux, will it use the literal folder "Documents", or the localised documents folder?
