A magical apprentice for all weather and tasks. A handy companion fits neatly into a bag and is easily re-animated with the lighting of a candle. Speedy delivery is assured when he takes to the skies riding on a magical scroll.

Exhausted the Sorcerer’s Apprentice slept. His room scattered with spell books, dirty laundry and half-finished pages of his latest manuscripts.

Wax ran down the skull candle holder, running into loose pages mixing ink and wax together. Runes shimmered and formed as the apprentice slept on. With a hush the candle went out, silence, then it erupted with a fantastical glow.

Tendrils of light flowed from the candle. It sought out clothes, grasped boots, robes and gloves. The pieces pulled together with the gloves grapsing, snapping the skull into place.

Wik gathered the manuscript and carefully sealed it, fastening it to his back while the Apprentice snored on.

It was too valuable to leave. If a scroll could grant him life what other great things might they achieve? Like an excitable child he marched off into the night, determined to purchase some parchments.
