Ok gang, this is my very FIRST map designed in Hammer. I did not pack the material with it. But, I did use only one Standard Dev type texture in the map, so there "should not" be a problem. If it doesn't work for you let me know here in the discussions.

For those that want to build scenes in a HUGE TOTALLY Black map.

The Sniper in the picture has been scaled 145 times its normal size and still doesn't touch the bottom or top of the map. The models on the brim and flying around his head are their normal Valve scale (They have not been scaled in any way.)

The pictures where you can see the models clearly is a shot from inside the map with the lights disabled from the bottom - front - left and top - rear- right corners. As you can see there was still room to scale the Sniper further. You can also see that the only texture is Black. No more annoying red brick if your light clips the walls or that dag white corner when using the stock Black Void.

The map dimensions are 16,473 Hammer Units CUBED. ( or 7,612,644 square feet [1,096,220,800.00 square inches] ) If you can't build a scene in this, then there's no hope for you.

Walls of the map are Black, light in the map is black and brillantcy has been turned down to 1, so there is NO light other than what you add.

To start, Turn lighting off, and you'll be able to see your models. This map was intended for scene building and it is huge. It is very easy to get disorientated and lost.

Back when this was created, people were screaming for an extremely large map with no lighting at all. This was created to fill that "Void".

I don't remeber if I added the HDR switch or not. But I must have because it works in SFM without generating the HDR error.

Nope, I am PTE Jack, not Pete... However, I did have a cousin named Peter who we called Pete (once upon a time ago) and I use to have a friend named Pete. But Pete is not me. [LOL]
