Auto Hunter-Seeker Drone (1km Detection Range) - w4stedspace

Description
The world to accompany the attached video from my YouTube channel!

A fighter (v1) with some hidden tricks, autopilot and full sensor tracking for enemies within 1km. Massive thanks to Arrnor for the NAV changes and also to Soat for the sensor blueprint :) Version 2 coming soon!

See the video for a more detailed idea of how it works but basically will track and kill enemy targets within 1km of it, otherwise will patrol using set waypoints. Fully survival ready using 3 reloadable rocket launchers and 3 gatlings.

Usage:
Change ownership to 'Me'
Turn 'Scan Sensor' on
Edit waypoints on NAV: block following autpilot mod intrsuctions below if you want to use it on something other than Platform start with 4 asteroids.
Click 'Trigger Now' on the 'Scan Off' timer.

@daniel It's on the cards - aware they broke my version of the sensors so need to re-make it using a working version.

Please revisit this i have always wanted something like this but i just can`t use this with a 50 meter range and the one you used is broken

i highly recemend the script
allows you adjust the range of fire of the drones plus they lead like turrets (i get destroyed by 4 framework drones with the script installed when there firerange is set to 200) Only problem is they can only use gatlings now (unless thats changed)
they dont attack nonfuctional blocks so they dont attack flouting armour block pieces which is immensly usefull
as i said before the sensor needs to activate before they track so you would need to find a effective dilivery sestem (im kinda thinking you could somehow use that cruise missile script as a dilivery sestem but instead of a the missile it sends the drone into dectection range using those 2 turrets i would have no idea how you would go about that though since the missiles use gravity and mass blocks to propele them)

Yeah I'm pretty frustrated that this is no longer possible... had a fair few plans for how to improve on this design (which I have about half done) which includes better collision avoidance like you suggest, although that script does sound very interesting.

Here's hoping for a sensor range solution soon!

oh i forgot to mention that there is a Attack Drone AI Script V0.12
very usefull little script you should check it out for one of your drones
allows the ship to ignore non functional blocks and allows the drone to follow you past the 50 meter sensor range (though you still need to enter the sensor range) also makes the ship orbit around you so it dosent keep attacking the same spot
