Description
This is a repair bay I built for some of my small ships in a YouTube series. It doesn't fit all sizes or shapes. It is not completed yet, and is a WIP, but it is functional in its current form. I will expand on this as the project evolves.

Series here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLR3aRr2g0TacgToXukOIwgrHdxgKXJPzV
Episodes where I went over it are 46 and 47. There are some Montage shots at the start of 47 I believe to see it in action.

This is mostly here for the viewers of the series to check it out, though others might be interested in checking it out. There just isn't any information provided on its function or how it works. But feel free to fiddle or check out the series for info.

It is sensor triggered. There are two sensors that work together to determine if your ship is positioned properly on the lift. Essentially the ship should be centered with its connector about 3-4m from the edge. The connector that comes out to grab the ship will automatically stop when it detects a ship, so it shouldn't over extend. That way your position does have to be exact. But you need to be in range of it, so being a bit further back usually works out better. The platform lifts and rotates 180º and lines up the connector of the small ship to a connector that extends out to pull the ship in. Once in the Ship gets rotated and the welders move in towards the ship. They are Equiped with sensors so they won't crush a ship. If a small ship gets too far in between the prongs, the pistons will extend away from the ship for a few seconds then move back towards and stop when it detects it again. During normal opperations you shouldn't see this occur. If you move a ship while docked in the repair back you could trigger them and they are there to help protect the small ship from taken accidental damage under rare circumstances.

It was built to work with my Chip Miner, Tortwing Utility Ship, and my Molar Auto Miner. It should work for other ships of similar size and shape. Molar uses a height sensor to modify the lift height for him so his connector still lines up. Other ships might need to adjust the height of the lift if they differ from Chips and Tortwings connector placement height relative to the platform.

There should be a timer block that is labeled MANUAL or MAN, that is how you get out of the repair bay. I put that block on my small ship tool bar. Otherwise it has a built in timer that will automatically eject you after 5 minutes, I think its 5 minutes. Time could be adjusted via one of the Timers. All the timers are set up in banks of 8. They are located on merge blocks so they can be relocated(hopefully without breaking groups).

The Repair bay has a connector and merge block located underneath it. They are used to connect it to a ship or station you want it on. That connector will feed the welders with parts as well as grant access to the ship/station via the small ships connector. Once merged you could permanently fix it to a ship/station

I will try and do a proper overview video and screenshots etc in the future.

There's a lot of text... Though there is not a lot of text. I read the entire thing.

I think there are two survival series because I think I was in episode 40+ maybe I'm wrong... (I'll check, it's been a long time since I've been watching your series. (Or it feels))

Your profile is private.................................. (It doesn't concern me...)
Valve should put a spell check as you type (SCAYT) in that way if I make typos, I'll see them.

Thank you for putting this on the workshop. I am on a project to switch all your memory stick/timer array to a more valuable programable block with sequences. Will feedback you on this if you ever want to try.
