Description
What does this mod do?
Adds two new tactical postures to Project Zomboid.
Each postures grants an aiming bonus, allowing you to stay stealthy and dominate combat in any situation.

  • Crouch: Slightly improves your aiming.
  • Prone: Significantly improves your aiming, just watch your back or you might get bitten.


Default shortcuts:
Prone: "U" or right click on the ground -> Prone.
Crouch: "C" and aim.

The shortcuts are configurable.


Can i Crawl?
Yes, you can Crawl.
You can even pass under a vehicle: Right click on a vehicle when prone -> "Pass under the vehicle".


How can I get up faster?
Pressing <Run/Sprint + Getting Up/Down> will increase your speed in exchange for increased effort.
You can also adjust your speed in the sandbox options.


Sandbox Options?
Yes, it's very customizable.


Does it work on B42?
Yes only on B42.


Compatibility:
This mod is compatible with Snake's hunting system (not yet released), granting a bonus when firing from the Prone stance.

Yes full compatibility

Future Plans:
More bonus upon reaching level 10 aiming.
Possibility of crawling faster in exchange for a higher energy cost.

@xfadedlover Developing a B41 version of the mod requires a lot of effort and is pointless because it will quickly become obsolete when the stable B42 version of the game is released.

Hi, for the folks that play on steam deck, if you play on the linux build, with the mod active, when racking the gun, the character will just raise his arm in the air like he just don't care. It can be fixed by using Proton experiemental. It took a me a while to figure it out.

Honestly, I could have lived if I'd just stayed down, reloaded, and shot the last two zombies, but I decided to be cautious about it and instead my character just crawled around like a worm until a pair of zombies came up and beat them to the ground until they died. Skill issue, I suppose.

So, further testing has revealed that my problem was much more straightforward than it seems. Unlike with entering and exiting crouching, you can't move at all while changing prone states. Lost my three month save and I wasn't even panicking about it, I just didn't realize my character couldn't do a push-up into a crouch and start walking away while I was still moving, so instead it seemed like the U key and the "Stand Up" menu option were doing nothing because I was cancelling the animation immediately by moving.

I don't particularly want to turn off the energy cost or speed it up more, because the sprint boost seems fast enough, I just wish the same thing I do for standing up and sitting down: that that was the default.

@Jiopaba Hi, you can get up faster by pressing the sprint key in exchange for an energy cost. If you want, you can disable the energy cost and further increase your get-up speed in sandbox settings.
