Warmoose Industries decided to challenge themselves with their next class of larger vessels. Despite advances with prototech equipment and new star systems, we decided to try something more basic.

We understand that your first frigate sized vessel (something we define as sub 9000 Large Grid PCU) will likely not include nuclear power or prototech equipment. We also wanted to design a ship that fit our slogan of helping you help yourselves. This is a ship that can grow with you.

The Entente class frigate by design comes equipped with 18 hydrogen turbines and a small number of batteries. This system is sufficient for an all ion ship of this size to operate (minus a jump drive) in pure space operations. It can accommodate 2 to 4 crew with crew beds for 2 and 2 cryo pods. The medical facility has been foregone for 2 refill stations instead. Port and starboard airlock with connectors on pistons to facilitate connection to space ports or other ships. 3 artillery turrets and 4 AA machine guns to round out the armament. The engineering bay currently houses the 18 hydrogen turbines but these can be replaced with jump drives and nuclear reactors as you grow with the ship. It comes equipped with a beacon instead of a traditional comms antenna. Two programmable blocks round out the installed equipment.

The design would allow for a lengthening of the nose or complete overhaul of the engineering section if need be. However, we will leave customer related refits to their own specifications. The main purpose was a true starter frigate that a faction could grow with that would not break the bank while being true to our sub 9000 PCU. Keep in mind a lot of the PCU is currently tied up in the 18 hydrogen turbines.
