Description
Due to my hard drive crash back in 2017/2018, progress on these mods has been halted, but I do plan on finishing them someday, so don't lose hope on that!

A VERY INCOMPLETE character mod that needs critique and suggestions.

This mod adds The Once-ler from Dr. Seuss' "The Lorax" (2012) as a selectable character for Don't Starve.
(please forgive me for making a Once-ler mod I have sinned greatly)
This mod is both compatible for DLC and standard mode.

Once-ler is a big businessman with big ideas for the world and a grand future of wandering in a wilderness far from home.

STATS:
Health 150
Hunger 150
Sanity 175

-Comes with a custom top hat.
- Also spawns with a golden axe and a sewing kit.
- Dapper, so he has a small sanity gain.
- Can sew various 'makeshift' thneeds by crafting butterflies, silk and beefalo wool together.
- A lot of borrowed dialog (Woodie and Maxwell especially) but plenty of custom dialog as well.

If anyone has watched the movie (or has good insight into Dr. Seuss' other works that could be lightly referenced) and have suggestions for better dialog please let me know!

WIP/future ideas
- Cave dialog is not fixed. I've never explored down there so currently it's the standard wilson dialog.
- I will probably eventually tweak the ANIM files to look nicer.
- Need to fix a few bugs with "fueled" in standard Don't Starve mode.
- Increase of treeguards and poison birchwoods when tree chopping.
-Truffula trees as an extra variaty of trees.
- THNEED TAB
- I want the Lorax to make an apperance.

If anyone has any other suggestions or ideas please let me know!

Some of you may know I uploaded this to the Klei forums months ago but I guess I couldn't upload it to Steam because I didn't own Don't Starve (I've been using my sister's account), but now that I own a copy for myself I can upload them to my own account. Yes!

the first time he chops a tree the Lorax appears and if you add truffulas that specifically

um question what would the thneeds be cabable of? secoof buffalo ndly depending on their use could determine what crafting formula you could do to make them if him to easilly craft them I'd suggect something like grass instead of the bwbuffalo fur if you want it to be a bi trickier then the buffalo fur would work fine.

The Once-ler is one of my favourite characters! But not so much the 2012 version... I'm guessing the title shows other Once-lers but the description is indescriptive and the mod has none of them. If you ever find the courage to continue this mod you have my (emotional) support! IDEA RANT START Please add old original cigar toting Once-ler (if you can I heard your hard drive broke)(mabye he's unlocked by using gold to buy a thneed in a shop generated randomly by a road like in the movie) mabye make thneeds cookable (in the cartoon they could eat them) and mabye make the thneed change dependant on which slot you place it (or make it changeable in a new tab). The Once-ler had an assist named Ms. O-hunsler (I saw the girl in the image and wanted to let ya know) IDEA RANT END sorry for all the blabber but I wanted to thank you for making this (even though your progress was lost...) Thank you for reading all this, I wish you well...

@Pearluminium kind of sadly........... my external hard drive broke and I lost all my progress on updates to the mods.... might work up the motivation to start from scratch but who knows...
