Description
A divided country & More immersion

Map with population

Important note Freight wagon purchase
Do not use the small Train dealers to buy wagons, these are too short for a locomotive to attach a wagon to. Use the vanilla customs houses or the customs house freight stations to buy wagons

Important Note Customs Houses
Trade with other cities, not with the border. Customs houses are part of individual company premises. They can be found near descriptive names. Near city names, you will find customs house bus stops. There is one vehicle trader near the border for each faction (NATO & Soviet) and one train trader for each faction. You cannot necessarily buy or sell everything at every customs house; there are separate customs houses for immersion. Pay attention to what is available—for example, fuel cannot be bought everywhere. Export/import of bulk goods is only possible with NATO at the mines, where there are two vanilla customs houses with rail connections. For exporting all other materials, there is Comrade Joe's Super Trade Center with multiple train stations for exporting (note: rail connections are continuous and also serve as a connecting route).

Ships
Ships (preferably river freighters) can dock directly at the customs house docks and buy or sell goods, so you don’t have to wait as long for them to leave the map. Exporting by ship beyond the map should still be possible.

Electricity/Substations
There are substations that include electricity import/export stations. The ones usable by the player are those with an additional connection within the borders to smaller substations. All stations import a minimal amount of electricity at the start (it costs nothing or almost nothing as long as no power is consumed), which ensures that gas stations and the maintenance station can operate.

Important Note Maintenance
There is a rest area that also serves as a service/maintenance station. It has two construction offices that can maintain each other and should repair gas stations and transformers when necessary. A distribution office is also located there, supplying the workshop and all existing gas stations on the map. The electricity for the tracks at this location is not sufficient for train traffic (it only removes the [required power] symbols from the tracks).

When playing in realistic mode, make sure to maintain the few buildings of other cities with your own construction offices or use those at the maintenance station. Some buildings are outside their automatic range.

Important Note Traffic
There are several gas stations on the map that are powered by electricity (if you want to export electricity via substations, you should also connect the medium-voltage line to keep the gas stations operational with your produced power). There are (camouflaged) gas stations that are purely decorative, each equipped with a free gas station that requires no maintenance.

Regarding trains, only electric locomotives can be used (there are no diesel stations for locomotives). If needed, you must build and supply your own diesel stations with fuel. To do this, temporarily move the borders using cheats in editor mode to start construction projects there.

Important Note Mods
All mods are required to make everything look like it does in the screenshots. However, only the customs house mods & "Rural infrastructure" are strictly necessary, as the map would not function otherwise. I recommend not omitting the other mods, such as textures, though.

Other Note
All necessary resources are available within the borders, and autarky should be possible if desired. The map is freely explorable, and the camera does not suddenly stop.

This is a prototype map with this style of designing border customs houses. I thought it would be something different from just plain customs houses standing alone in the middle of nowhere, with more realistic settlements instead of carelessly slapped residential buildings randomly placed along the roadside. It is a standard vanilla map, originating from 3Division (the thumbnail matches the vanilla map, just with a name added).

There is only one train construction office within the borders for the start.

Have Fun

Extra Note

A bug occurs when clicking on "Show Mods" in the construction office for Soviet train sets (the game crashes). The bug doesn't occur when checking directly with train dealer. There, you can display mod vehicles without issues, buy a train, and send it to the construction office.
You may or may not experience this bug. I would still buy directly from the train dealer to be on the safe side.

Update
fixed a few blemishes at a highway intersection & added an asphalt dealer to the southern city.

Incredible map! Really smart for you to implement inter-border trading, I like that. This is WRSR 2 type stuff.

Mind if I ask you a question in private? I've added you on Steam.
