KI Chieko class Destroyer MKIIB

Originally intended as a mass produced destroyer with a lot of weaponry and thin armor, the Chieko meets these criteria. However it was quickly found out that it hindered the ship against the much more beefier KR, DNS, and EXO destroyers which balance both heavier armor and weapons. The Chieko MKI originally lost out but with a modernization, the Chieko MKIIB was created. Now more on par with the KI's enemies destroyer classes, the Chieko MKIIB is seen as a success.

After proving itself in numerous battles, it has been decided by high command to upgrade all Chieko MKI and MKII's to the Chieko MKIIB standard. The destroyer is slated to be upgraded or replaced after new developments on the battlefield dictating so. Until then, the Chieko class Destroyer MKIIB will continue to righteously serve the KI as its mainline destroyer.
