Description
Play as the overseers of the Qing golden age, Emperors Kangxi and Qianlong; in Sid Meier's Civilization VI.

The Jurchens where the first of the Tungusic to hold China under the Jin dynasty, a minor invasive claimant to China. The struggle caused by the Mongol Empire would depose the pastorialists and force them back beyond the Liao river, though this would not stop later Jurchens from preying on the Han during their time of weakness. The Later Jin under the Aisin-Gioro would emerge in 1616 AD, only to be reforged as the Qing Empire some two decades later. The Jurchens adopted the name of Manchu as they transitioned into the masters of China proper. The Manchurians were a mix of steppe warriors and traditional hunters, they relied on their native cavalry as well as an influx of Mongol and Han riders. Gradually the Han of the decaying Ming Empire defected to the Great Qing - forming the military's core known as the Green Standard Army in the process - for the promise of traditional Confucian order. The Great Qing would endure as the dominant power of the eastern steppe until the death of Qianlong Emperor, only then would corruption and military complacency pervade the whole nation. The Great Qing, along with all traditional Chinese governance, would evaporate by 1912 AD after a string of humiliating defeats.

Thank you, Phantagonist. I love expanding mods related to the Sinosphere.

Strudeler, just want to inform you that I have updated the Dynasty Uniques to support your Kangxi and Qianlong. When leading China, they will use the dynasty uniques...of Qing. With a different flavor though.

Again, congratulations of uploading this mod!

Hi Strudeler! I un- & re-subscribed via Steam and it's working great now!

Thanks for fixing so quickly!

Just sent out a hotfix for the English and Chinese (Simplified) text files. If anyone is having issues with a save game then unsubscribe from Steam and manually download the previous version from Nexus Mods to continue your game.
