Description
The Basilisk remastered and rebalanced for a more hardcore experience.

While very popular, the original Basilisk was far too powerful for anything less than a modded barotraumatic nightmare campaign. This version removes the special items and rebalances the guns and armor based on community feedback so that vanilla campaign is a challenge. It also features updates for the latest version of the game.

If you missed this sub previously, you have the added benefit of something that has been thoroughly tested and played enough to fix almost every bug and issue that occurs with big sub builds like this. There are lots and lots of quality of life features, I'm told this is an amazing sub and I wish you much fun in discovering all it's features for yourself - but I will outline some of the less intuitive mechanics here:

>> Dual railgun/Tri Laser.
The Lower deck of the Bridge controls the main turret, there is a SWITCH to toggle between the multi-laser and the dual railgun, lights will turn red when the dual railgun is selected. also the switches over the laser ammo bins can configure the multi-laser for single/dual/triple fire depending. Railgun ammo cannot be shown because of the limitations of a dual function periscope, but there is a camera console above the laser ammo bins that gives a view of the railgun magazine for a visual check. There is also a light on the turret that will flash when the firing angle is dangerous and shots may fall back onto the sub..

>> Manta Shuttle remote piloting
The shuttle can be remotely piloted from the lower console on the bridge, there is a switch beside the console to enable remote control, it is important to turn this OFF whenever it is not needed as shuttle normally assists with steering and ballast when docked, also you may leave crew stranded without control over their sub. Note; the Manta can be docked at 3 points on the basilisk, it autodocks to assist low skill pilots, and the status readout on the bridge will show if docked foward or aft.

>Gunnery Fire Control.
The captains console can cut power to the coilguns at the press of a button to stop bots spamming rounds at ice spires. If the coilguns are frozen, check if the safety is on.

>> Gunnery helm control
There is an option to switch navigation control to the gunnery room, there is a small switch on the main console on the bridge to do this, but only one console can be active - dont forget and then wonder why the bridge controls are frozen. Other crew can gain piloting XP from the non-functioning console.

>Armory
You can transfer weapons from inside Armory without opening the door by using the weapon transfer cabinets. This is so weapons and ammo can be given out or handed in without giving potential traitors an opportunity to raid the armory.

> Drone
The Drone can be controlled from the listening post periscope by the crew cabins, it's battery is intentionally limited. It's indestructible to avoid limitations but will lose 8% power when attacked by a creature. You can double click to toggle laser mode but this usaes a lot of power. If the drone loses power; it is classed as a shuttle and you can purchase a replacement for 1,000 cr from the shipmaster.

>Internal Sentry guns and Tesla Doors
These intentionally have limited effectiveness and results vary depending on the situation. Sometimes good, sometimes bad - especially if you're near them. They are not designed to do security's job, but they might slow things down until they get there. You can turn the sentry guns off from the bridge, and the electrical doors off by adjusting the linked floor sensors output to 0. The sentry Turrets have unlimited ammo.

>Security
This ship was designed with traitor roleplay in mind. The brig is not escape proof, (one example will be provided - the brig door will open if reactor voltage drops too low) beware of collaborators, dark corners, hidden vents and other exploits.

>> Read the Buttons!
Most switches and buttons are named and have a tooltip explanation of what they do. If in doubt, press it and find out, there are no bad buttons.

>> Legacy items
There are still some remnants of the special items that once were part of the original version. For example the fire extinguishers are still unlimited and provide 300n of force so you can still jet around the outside of the ship like wall-e. Also there is still the buried treasure chest, it's up to you not to go digging for it - self control is a virtue.

este submarino siempre me encanto, pero alguien sabe porque caen los fps cuando tienes muchas cosas almacenadas?

Its probably issue for 0.01% of people. Never heard that bios set DDR speed to 800 when it can go 2400, and yes, sometimes it is just better in terms of games performance to go for AM5 and DDR5 than buying new graphics card

it was an old thread trying to figure out a bottleneck specific to barotrauma with older/low speed memory, i posted that pic to see if it helps anyone who had fps issues with barpotrauma when they shouldn't,. :)

If you will overclock your CPU, especially only 2 cores your system actually use most of the time, it will increase baro performance up to 30% while temperatures will be on same level(if you are using 6+ cores CPU of course)
