Description

This mod is moving whole skill lines from the base game and huge number of mods. Because of that - it is recommended to only new campaigns or to re-spec all characters before subscribing.

This mod doesn't add new melee lines to wizards / runesmiths. It expands the existing ones.
To add melee (combat) skill lines to non-combat lords & heroes use my fully compatible mod:



This mod is expanding the heroes basic skill lines, by adding new skills at the end of chains:
  • Melee (Combat): +5 skills (+1 when ranged)
  • Magic (or Runic): +5 skills
  • Blue (Campaign): +9 skills (+1 auto-opening skill required by UI)

This mod is also adding hero, unit & faction specific army skills to heroes, that are created to remind lords red line army skills and are balanced to not exceed 30-50% power of main game.

To save skill points & create skill groups in UI - these skills are linked using existing vanilla hero skills, that you will find now in new place when compared to main game and not using this mod.

Thank you so much Ushabti, i made a mistake in txt description with - insted of +.
I confirm that it is only txt error and buff work as intended being positive adding range.
I changed already the error in the mod and will be corrected with next update friend :WH3_clasp:

CHANGES & FIXES:

🔺 Frost maiden monster skill line now also buffs frost wyrm and elemental bear + changed 1 of the effects that no longer buff Incarnate beast (reserved for The Hags)
🔺 Warrior Priest skill buffing melee attack from all infantry to only flagellans + changed skill Weapon Strength to Melee Defence for them (skill "righteous fury" gives Weapon Strength in vanilla)
🔹 Hero campaign (blue) skill 1_0* changed from only: +1 rank to XXX hero in local province, to
+1 rank to XXX hero in local province
-5% hero recruit cost in local province

*structure of blue line: 0_auto->(0_1 to 0_6)->1_0->(1_1 to 1_3)->2_0->(2_1 to 2_3)->3_0

I see, I never looked too much into them but if that's how they work, those are enough buffs for vanilla. Thanks anyway for the response mate. :steamthumbsup:

Hi Rases, i get you but I wont do that as adding a ranged skill to non-ranged agents will look odd for those that don't use extra mounts. I use Oxy Mount Expansion together with Bad Guys Mount and the mounts already get stat buffs from the skills that buff units from same unit_set that the added mount comes from.

So if a hero get a custom gyrocopter they will benefit from skills buffing gyrocopter units, if its a dragon - all dragon unit stat buffs from technologies / skills / etc should work. If not - it means the mount is not assigned to most common unit_set that they could fit in, but this has to be requested to mods that add the mounts :steamthumbsup:

I try to make skills as close to vanilla and this doesnt fit, sorry friend

Heya ChopChop, I've got a request, if it's possible and doesn't clash with your other mods.

Do you think it'd be possible to add the ranged extra skill to all the heroes? There are a lot of mods atm that grant heroes either a retinue or a mount with ranged attacks (Ruo's bodyguard, Oxy's mount expansion, etc) so ~90% of the heroes even if they can't shoot baseline still have access to some kind of ranged attack.

It'll probably also be easier for you to set since you can copy paste the same set of skills to all heroes.
