I'm still searching for a mod to replace merge blocks with something more stable/reliable, first time I've really considered looking for a mod to solve a problem at all so far.
But... Things didn't went well, most of the times it backfired and the torpedo hit the craft itself, i've also made several modifications to it(but i forgot to save the modified model...) which only slightly reduced the time in which the torpedo would make a turn and hit the craft right after being lauched.... And when that wasn't the problem, there was another even more frequent problem in which the merger would fail when the craft was manuevering at speeds of 60m/s or more, making the torpedo fly away...
So gave up on it...at least for now, but your design seems to be working, mind if i brake it down and try to make one of my own using your idea?
I know very well how you felt at the first part of the video, i had the same problem with the ones i made, however, mines were torpedores, they had a very simple system, it was just 9 warheads at the front, a reactor, an antena(for tests only), and 3 back thrusters that propelled it foward and 2 sensors, 1 to turn on the thrusters and the other to trigger the explosion, they were launched from a modified small fighter that i made, it originally used 7 rocket launchers to attack large ships, and it was also a very light and fast spacecraft, which made it look perfect for this task.
