[Dizzy] Poor Sight Matters More

Description
This mod changes how much Sight and light levels affect most pawn stats:

*Prefer darkness* and *blind* pawns are not affected by light levels like those who are used to being *sighted.*

--
I'm not the original modder, but will maintain this and have made a few changes as the Vanilla game has added some of what this mod previously did.

Play pointer: REMOVE roofs from above doorways so that you get light there. IDK why Rimworld does it but doorways are always 0% lit if you don't REMOVE the roof there. This way your darkness debuff won't hit you in broad daylight because you're standing working in a doorway.
--

Darkness = Light levels lower than 30%.

Move Speed: Pawns with less than 50% Sight will move up to 50% slower than pawns with more than 50% Sight.

Move Speed: Non-blind pawns in Darkness will move up to 60% slower instead of just 20% slower.

Eating Speed: Pawns with less than 50% Sight will eat up to 25% slower than pawns with more than 50% Sight.

Eating Speed: Non-blind pawns in Darkness will eat up to 50% slower.

Global Work Speed: Non-blind pawns in Darkness will do all work up to 75% slower instead of just 20% slower.

Medical Tend Speed/Quality/Operation Speed/Success Chance: This is now Vanilla and so removed from mod.

The Importance of Sight has been increased for the following stats:
* Global Work Speed [50%]

Sight-related debuffs will only apply to pawns with less than 50% Sight. This means that just missing one eye won't make much of a difference, but having badly damaged or no vision on both eyes will considerably affect everything they do.

Well, it's xml only mod. Your change over time would require some actual coding.

ah, yeah. thats how i wouldve rationalized it myself. not a very good execution of it though. it would be a lot better if, say, blindness under 50% would build up a "blindness adapt" hediff that will eventually mitigate some of the darkness effects. the lower their sight capacity, the higher blindness adapt can max out, maxing out at 100% if the pawn has 0% sight for long. i know youre just maintaining, but it would be awesome if you could implement this probably not so simple suggestion. either way, thanks for maintaining such a neat mod!

Oh my head canon on that is that blind pawns learn to adapt while sighted are still struggling with relying on a lesser sense. But that's how the original mod did it.

ive not any lag issue with that mod on my nearing 500 mods modlist, though suit yourself.

however, i still dont understand the part of "Pawns with less than 50% Sight will eat up to 25% slower than pawns with more than 50% Sight." and "Non-blind pawns in Darkness will eat up to 50% slower." doesnt this mean darkness debuff on a sighted pawn is worse than a pawn who cant see at all?

I'll note the lunk, though I don't use it. Heard concerns about TPS drag.

also, since youre suggesting doorway darkness mitigation, might i suggest putting this mod that lets lights flow into opened doorways in your description? this can be very helpful

wait this makes totally blind pawns more capable than partially sighted pawns with severe sight? am i understanding this correctly?

After playing with it for about 5 in game years a few tweaks.

* Shallower curve into darkness so 30% to 20% is 1.00 to 0.9 and then 20% to 0% is 0.9 to 0.5 drop off eating speed

* Global work speed maximum at 0% light is down to 0.25 (75% loss) instead of 0.20 (80% loss)

* Movement speed is 60% at 0% light
