Light can pass through the opened doors.

This mod uses Harmony.

Hello, this mod will be updated to 1.1?

Removing this mod effectively doubled my ticks per second. When there are a lot of light sources on the map, and a lot of pawns constantly move through a lot of doors, like it naturally happens in late game, the constant lightning recalculations become way too heavy.
I suggest everyone to use glass doors instead.

Very poor mod performance wise. This mod caused my game to stutter every 2 seconds.

Unfortunately I had to remove this from my modpack. I think it was the source of alot of my generally poor framerates but particularly with [JPT] Open The Windows installed it becomes unbearable. Removing this mod was a night and day difference in the performance department. It's a shame because this mod makes sense and also provides atmosphere. I'll stay subbed in the hope that the performance issues will perhaps one day be ironed out.

hi it might, im not sure but in lots of other programs, changing transparency needs lots of cpu power, especially like with flash games fading in and out :)

I was wondering, would the lag issue be eased if the doors were modified so that they had a 'window' in them and thus didn't block light at all? I'm just guessing it's the constant changes and checks that are causing the lag. Gloomy Furniture has a window wall that lets light through (although not daylight/sunlight, which is weird) an if that some feature was added to doors, would that enable the light issue to be fixed with less lag?

I don't know much about coding, just wondering if that might be a possibility. I am asking partly because the lag has been so bad it killed my last game altogether.

I absolutely love the mod because it just makes so much sense but I really don't love the lag.

it makes the game quite laggy if anyone wants to play with this mod

Is there any possibility to get support for doors expanded by Jecrell? If not would you be interested in collaborating on this/ making it open source?

I use C# on a daily basis and have made my own RW mods, but your source is just magic to me lol. I wish I could be that smart :KOh:
